Read that the pubs and clubs in London Manchester are business as usual, how accurate that is I don't know.
Given that the reason older citizens are being advised to lay low is so they don't burden the NHS as they are more at risk.
So do you think the younger generation are taking the attitude they are not at great risk of suffering any severe effects, therefore have a stuff the rest of them attitude and carry on as normal.

When I was young I used to ride a motor bike like I'd stolen it. Even after a number of accidents I still rode it like the devil was chasing me. My idea of a good weekend was to ride like a loon across the Pennines to the Lake District, where I'd spend a couple of days free climbing, mad, and the evenings enjoying eleventeen pints of Theakston's Old Peculiar.

There might be an element of selfishness but, equally, when you're younger you feel like it won't happen to you.

All we can hope for, if push comes to shove, is that restrictions are put in place that stops foolishness. Asking some people to change, young or old, is a waste of time.

It's a free world and if thats what they wish to do then let them. I'm relatively young and I'm not concerned about the impact of covid-19 on my health whatsoever, why should I be ?

I still have a motorbike but dont ride it because I'm an idiot on one, used to do all sorts on them, have come off them numerous times and hurt myself but would always just get back on and fo the same again. I loved it but with a family now I'm more aware of my safety not for me but for them, that's why I dont ride it

I got fully back into bikes when I got to my late 40's. Wow! Having something that stuck to the road in the wet, and had ABS... just wow. Then I went from the Honda 800VFR, with all its sophistication, to a Triumph Speed Triple. Its was a hooligan's bike, and I was 20 again. After 10 years of great stupidity, and a lot more traffic about, I sold it.

Which goes to prove even old people can be stupid.

No, certainly witnessed plenty of selfish behaviour from older people too.
Some people are selfish, others will do anything they can to help others. Neither of these things are linked to age.
My concern is if we don't take the advice and guidance handed down, more stringent actions will be taken, everyone needs to do there bit regardless of age.
I just have the opinion when your young you think your bulletproof, I know I did.
You are correct when you say many older people can be selfish.

Had an email to say the bar was shut. Rocked up at 5.40 (we shut at 6.00 normally) to find a few in there having a drink. I came up to put some clubs in the locker on the off chance we'll be open. Steward (who lives on site with wife + 2 kids) may be at risk as bar and kitchen shutting tonight and no date to reopen. Clubhouse will be open for changing room, toilets and corridor to pro shop and office. Bar and dining will be closed off. Not sure how we go forward with PSI and course but it's open and green staff working itself out amongst themselves. Ramping up green fees on teeofftimes and steward offering to marshal to try and get as much cash in as possible

I'm pleased for you, the issue is people like you will spread it to my wife and it could kill her while you go on your merry way..

Well done you, must be very proud of yourself.

Covid can have a major impact on your health even if young but its a lot less likely. But people spreading it can have a major impact on others health by their behaviour.

? seriously? This isn’t an age thing but a courtesy issue. Also worryingly ignorant about the potential danger of the condition. Hubristic sentiments but if you aren’t worried about yourself at least have the decency to consider others.

40 million people in Britain are projected to get this virus, it's time to get real, you cannot stop people at this stage from contracting it. They are just trying to control the spread as in control the numbers of people infected at a given time

It's already suspected 50,000 people in the UK have it already. Up to 200 people can get infected from one case obviously dependant on various factors but do the maths, this isnt going away after a few weeks of social distancing. This is just the government trying to buy the NHS time

You are not coming over well on this forum at all as a good human being, reading your posts recently I doubt you care but your replies in this topic and the ones about not paying your fees etc gives off a very bad impression and one of a typical younger my mind myself person. I'd like to hope and think your likes are in a large minority cause you are not the type of person this country needs just now.
