Young and selfish.

You are not coming over well on this forum at all as a good human being, reading your posts recently I doubt you care but your replies in this topic and the ones about not paying your fees etc gives off a very bad impression and one of a typical younger my mind myself person. I'd like to hope and think your likes are in a large minority cause you are not the type of person this country needs just now.
I call a spade a spade, I'm not your wishy washy dance around it type of guy. I say things how I see them and if I upset people then they should probably have a thicker skin. The country needs people who see things as they really are, perhaps if they did they would have done a better job of controlling and testing potential cases coming back into the country

Also at no point did I say I wasnt paying my fees, I simply said I'd be holding off until the last minute as I dont see the point in paying for something when I cant get what I'm paying for

They've made no secret of that. They buy time, the NHS gets more ventilators, more beds are freed up etc etc and more importantly - more people survive who maybe wouldn't now
The company's have already come out and said the government are being complete fantasists about getting the numbers of ventilators needed, I'm afraid people just need to look at the reality of the situation

Dont claim to be an expert but I do read alot and listen to LBC an awful lot. If your not listening to people who work in the manufacturing industries your a fool, every country in Europe is looking for these machines

No, that's fine, you're not an expert so it's only you're opinion so we can happily ignore what you say

Meanwhile other sad things happen
  • My 95 year old father has had a fall at home and broken both ankles (lower leg fibula + tibula) and admitted to hospital in Edinburgh
  • They may or may not operate - at best its likely the end of semi-independent living - - who knows what the worst may be
And I'm blocked here in the hottest virus zone on the planet

How quickly life can turn sour

How grown up ? you need to get real dude perhaps go into self imposed exile from reality for about 12 weeks come out get coronavirus anyway and still be no better off

Could be worse, your father could've broke both his ankles while in Lombardy, Italy
