woke up this morning feeling like absolute crap, pounding headache, ear ache ect, HID wanted me to cancel, but me being me i didnt want to let the other guys down as we where playing in a club major qualifying tourny

i got to the course not feeling any better and felt arkward my normal routine of chipping putting and stretching just felt wrong, so onto the first tee, hook oob, finished the hole (par 3, SI 1) on a 7! played to my handicap on 2nd, 3rd tee shot another oob left this time over the fence into a greenhouse, finally finished the hole with an 8, nett double bogey,

4th another par3 i stuck my tee shot 5yds from the flag, great maybe alls not lost, i 2 putted for par, 6th par 3 tee shot strait pull left over tree's leaving a 90yards over trees back to the green, hit full wedge and made the green about 40ft from the pin for par, which i made!! hoping rest of the round stayed like this! WRONG! the rest of the course was the same as the first few holes finished the front 9 with 60.

on the 16th compounded the dire play, tee shot duffed 20yards onto a brutal downslope, hacked 10yards, sliced 3rd into thick bush, dropped, played 5th hit fat about 6" before the ball, divot went futher than the ball, i picked up then as not feeling any better, and slowing the play down i thought it best

stayed with the other guys to mark there card, and thank and appolgise for the game, put clubs away, (non) score registered and told pro shop about my hooked tee shot on the 3rd, left for home feeling worse mentally than i did physically :( not a good day

rant over!

Know what you are saying. Was dog rough at Woburn. Got through the Marquess ok but barely touched my lunch as I was feeling so ill. By the 3rd on the Dukes I was done for. The last nine were a route march really. Everything had gone to pot and I just wanted to get in and finished so didn't really take the time to enjoy the course as much a I could have. Well done for getting out there and no letting anyone down.

As Steve Harley once sang... "I love the sound of breaking glass". Hope the greenhouse bill isn't too hefty!
