What I don't get...is why, when you have a 10 the quality of Burns, do you play Farrell at 10, who's natural (club) position is 12? Then Tuilagi is free to play on the wing if needed. Gives you a lot more options and Burns' vision and creativity is something that England desperately need.

I can see your point but Tuilagi is much more dangerous at outside centre, and if you have Burns at 10 and Farrell at 12 that's quite a lightweight pairing. Brad Barritt is an amazing defender and does a hell of a lot more than people realise. He may not be the most exciting player to watch but he does make a big difference on the pitch.

I think given time Burns will be first choice 10, but right now Farrell is playing out of his skin (albeit at 13 for Sarries) and I think that form everso slightly edges him ahead of Burns.

Jim Telfer had a right go at the England rugby set up yesterday calling them ignorant arrogant and disrespectful......what's new Jim.

As a Scot the only time I consider ABE is with the England rugby team.
And when you play Scotland just remember that rugby is very much a minority sport in Scotland.
Devon and Cornwall have more rugby clubs than the entire Scottish nation.

Still fancy a tough ask for Scotland to get a result but reckon the score will be as close as 1 try (not that Scotland are prone to scoring these).

Totally agree with you. Walkovers are rare in the 6 Nations and Scotland always bring something extra when it is needed (I try to forget 1990 but that is the perfect example). I am actually interested to see how Scotland play under the new management as a couple of the new selections are being tipped as ones to look out for. If England bring the game that they showed against New Zealand then we should not have too many problems but if the mistakes and indisciplne creep in then we could be punished.

Excited to see Twelvetrees at center, he was not given the chance he deserved at the Tigers (for some reason his face just did not fit with Cockerill) and it is good to see him doing well at Glaws.

Personally I love the 6 Nations. Not only is it a great competition but it is one of those times when you can show your National pride and dig up old rivalries. During the 6 Nations it is perfectly acceptable for nations to support anyone but England (in fact it is expected) in the same way that I support anyone but Wales (unless they are playing France then I wish both teams could lose). The atmosphere is great, the banter is spot on and rarely goes too far. I love this time of year and already have the beers chilling for Saturday afternoon.

6 nations is great, I was at Scotland England last year at Murrayfield and genuinely felt afterwards that Scotland should have won that game, made 2 errors that were pounced on and that game was Englands springboard. Scotland will never have a better chance to turn England over than last year.

Im looking forward to it, I will be away for the opening games this weekend (I'll be in Rome when France play Italy) and have tickets for Scotland v Wales which is always a good day out regardless.
