Who is your golfer of the year 2015....and why ?

Right now I think Speith and Day are neck and neck, all comes down to this week and who finishes highest. As Alan Sheerer would say (almost), it's been a year of two halves. I prefer Day due his big hitting :smirk:, hopefully they go off together Sunday afternoon, think that would be a fitting end to the season.

Also special mention Imbee Park, for dominating the LPGA with a swing that looks like the world is in slow motion.

As it stands today I would go for Jason Day purely for what he has overcome this year, culminating in his collapse at Chambers Bay. However, if Spieth wins the Fed Ex it would swing it back in his favour for me.

I prefer Day as a golfer, but I think Spieth has to win it.

2 Majors, and effectively 2nd in the other 2, is amazing.

We should just be thankful that we've had such an amazing year of golf to watch!

This.

I want to justify that it should be Day, but when it comes down to it you can't get away with Speiths achievements.

Spieth for me. Been doing it all season bar a handful of tournaments.

The other thing that seals it for me is that he's still a relative newcomer, whereas Day has been threatening for a few years. It just makes his achievements seem that little bit better.

It has to be Jason Day, after all the world rankings never lie :whistle:

<proud>
Call me biased, but the golfer of the year is my wife. She has won two major individual knockouts at the club, the club mixed foursomes knockout (I was along for the ride but can claim little of the credit), just won the Middlesex Ladies foursomes this afternoon, and has one more 36-hole final to play in early October.
</proud>

Ok I'll say it

I hope Spieth doesn't win golfer of the year

Just don't like him and think Day is more the type of golfer to get people more excited about the sport - Spieth for me is like a robot , very good player no doubt but seems to have personality of a damp squid , his golf whilst being superb just doesn't excite and the constant talking out loud is really starting to grate :(

Got to be Spieth for me. 2 Major wins plus 2nd and a T4th beats Day IMHO. Granted Day is having a stronger finish, but for the year (so far) overall I don't think you can argue about Spieth.
