What's your best score (gross) and how long have you been playing?

best score I have had happened twice this year....finished 2 under par at Irvine Bogside and easter moffat.

tell you what talk about being nervous playing the finishing holes!!!!! :o

cant find the cards but im sure they were both 69's....only time i have had that this year unfortunalely... :D

sorry forgot to say, been playing since i was around 10....now 35.

Have been playing a little over a year and my best gross is 90. I was standing on the 18th tee and my playing partner told me I needed 'less than 7' to break 90. Wish he'd kept his big gob shut! :D :D :D

Have had a series of lessons in the last couple of months and the Pro has set me a target of 15 (from my present 22) for next season!!

Played for around 15 years now and best gross in medal was a 71 when I was off 13 now playing off 10 and can't get close to that. Have to admit I was pitching and putting like a man possesed that day. :D

All year I have regulary shot 4-5 over in bounce games From the medal tee's but just can't get it going in medals. Always next year I suppose.

Played for around 22 years seriously now and best with a card in my hand in relation to par is 67 par 72 (twice),1 of these was off the blue tees 2002/3ish and to say I am somewhat miffed that the card didn't go up on our 'good score' board in the clubhouse is an understatement but lesser scores have gone up...(no bitterness fellow club forumers but I am sure it's a gripe Screwback will also have....honestly there is no bitterness) :o.Best knock about score is about 12 years back, shot 65 (-7) with a 30 (-6) back nine but got to say shortly afterwards they extended 4 holes and in real terms the course played more like a par 70 back then.Ahhhh, back in the day when the wand worked and I didn't see the 3 footer coming back being a problem! ;)

Lowest and one of my best rounds was a 2 under 66 in January off winter tees but for me our winter course is considerably tougher to score on than the summer track.

Been playing for 23years,lowest score in a comp was this year 66 gross (par 72) playing from the white tees at Goswick.

Best prior to that was 68 following the course lengthening and that card is on show in "good score" board. :D :D

Been at this game 16 years now and my best have been 68 on a par 68 and 69 on a par 71 - both with cards in hand.
Best this year is a 74 (+3)

been playing for >35 years. best score was in our Summer Meeting competition six years ago. Shot a gross 68 (par 65) off 10.

My best golf however would be the July Medal just prior to that Comp. I shot a 69 gross, came back in 29 after a double bogey 6 at the 10th :D It was one of those silly days where the ball went just where it was aimed.
Ah, those were the days. :D

I am somewhat miffed that the card didn't go up on our 'good score' board in the clubhouse is an understatement but lesser scores have gone up...(no bitterness fellow club forumers but I am sure it's a gripe Screwback will also have....honestly there is no bitterness)

Oh there is bitterness

In the last year i have shot 66 off the yellows 67 off the whites and 68 off the blues. i have been playing seriously for about 6 years but been a member since 1995.

Playing with a handicap for four years.

Had a gross 75 on a par71 for a net 62, too bad about the 7 at the last. I still have cold sweats about that.

Had a gross 79 net 59 a couple of years ago of the yellows at Torrance golf club in East Kilbride

Gross 76 2 weekends in a row in May about 3 years ago. Went from 11.4 to 7.7 and pretty much ended my golf for the season! :D :D :D

A lot of good golfers on here - as you'd expect... but not many higher handicappers showing so far.

Ok then, - 83 and I've been playing about 10 years or so. Just not regularly enough I guess.

Crikey :o some very good golfers on here.

Mine, playing about 10years, best gross, 86 off yellows, off whites in medal, gross 90. Lots of work to do then as don't get time to practice. No complaints, just enjoy getting out there. :)

Golfmmad.

Quite right just enjoy the game. My dad started golf at 59. He's 69 now has had a hole in 1 and three birdies in a row recently even though he doesn't have a handicap and just plays with his friends at the local muni. He loves the game and rubbing my nose in it re the whole in 1.

I'd been playing about 5 years when I had a 71 (par 72) off the yellows (10 hc at the time). Inexperience caused me to drop 3 shots in the last 4 holes.

That was 24 years ago, and I've just started playing again after about 20 years out of it. I'd like to think I can get somewhere near it again but you never know.
