Just in my dreams. Even more enjoyable when I pull it off in front of a group of super models who all go wild at my golfing prowess.
...and do they tell you that you are the best and that they cant live without you before proceeding to push hotel room keys into your hands?

( i mean...lets make it a worthwhile fanstasy.....my granny can go wild watching me hole 20 footer for birdie but i wouldnt want the adulation to go any further than that)

I love a par 3.

Target is highlighted (grass is cut short, aka the green). Strike the shot, loads of time to watch it in the air, see it land, spin and come to rest.

That said, over 160 yards, hate them.

Anything within about 55 yards for me, love getting creative with my wedges, is it high or is it low, how close can I leave it... My favorite part of the game

Wait, that happened to you too? Was it Svetlana, Alessandra and Gisella? I never knew golf groupies was a thing.

I used to think a low draw was a sexy shot but I've since changed my tune to a drilled low fade.

I find keeping it low and fading it difficult so when I can pull it off I love it.

Big fan of flop shots too. They are more for fun. Could spend hours practicing them. Try to only play them now as a last resort.

Out of interest Bob, why the PW from 50 yd and not a 60 -58 wedge. Don’t get me wrong I love my Pw for my short game but why does a good player use a PW.
Because I haven't got a 58 or 60.
I think my PW is around 50 and my SW is nearer 56.
I've just found the half swing is something I can repeat fairly consistently and when I hold the PW at the bottom of the grip it goes 50 yards.
I can then change grip positions/clubs for different yardages
eg
PW top of the grip, half swing, 55 yards
SW top of the grip, half swing, 45 yards
SW bottom of the grip, half swing, 40 yards
9 iron bottom of the grip, half swing, 60 yards.

So changing clubs = + or - 10 yards
Moving top to bottom of the grip = 5 yards
ALL WITH THE SAME HALF SWING
Yours will be different

My all time favourite shot was a hosel rocketed bunker shot from the greenside bunker on the Par 3 10th at Worplesdon.

It collected Glyn (ex Forumer) right in his chubby little belly and dropped onto the green.

How we laughed.

Would that be a penalty shot for either of you? I believe under the old rules yes, but now no?
