What's in your pockets on the course?

Brilliant...80 posts on whats in your pocket!

Ladies & gents we are officially obsessed with this freakin game!

Seems to me there is a perfect market for a Golf Utility Belt
there is one already on the market,i played in a mixed comp and the lady in the other pair had one,a bit like a bum bag but slimmer, she had no pockets on her skirt and kept everything in it,including a god awfull smelling perfume she kept squirting on herself,i have the following in my pocket 2 x z-star balls, half a dozen white wooden tees (yellow band ),ball marker, glove nothing else needed.

as little as possible. mostly just groove cleaner and tees. my bag is usually on hand carrying the rest of the gear.

I never play with a spare in my pocket. just having it there will put me off. like a thoroughbred racehorse. it Disney take much!

also never keep the scorecard on me. ive got a holder that sits in the bag. scores go in at the end of the hole. ive no need for it while playing the hole.

This I know,I just ad visioions of him pacing up & down every green looking for pitch marks.

No problem with that whatsoever as long as it's done whilst your partners are lining up their putts and you are not disturbing them. I see plenty of people standing around on the green wasting time when they could be doing something constructive

  • Pitch Repairer
  • Tee for driver
  • Broken or short tee for other metals and Irons
  • Green Golf Monthly poker chip ball marker

Yep exactly this lot above, plus usually some sort of foreign coin as a marker as well for when marking the ball nearer the hole so the massive poker chip doesn't affect anyones line. Currently coin I use if needed is either a Bulgarian Lev or US ten cent.

Back pocket scorecard, right pocket few tees, marker and pitch fork, never carry a ball for reload, I think it just puts the thought into your head that your going to reload.

89 posts on what's in your pockets . UNBELIEVABLE

Right pocket...two long tees, 1 short tee, my reference distance chart. Back pocket...leather scorecard holder. Right pocket a hole..Old Chinese proverb says "Man with holes in pocket feels cocky all day"

I would happily wait an extra 10 seconds per hole for someone to repair a couple of pitchmarks if it meant the putting surfaces were as good as possible. We all have a duty of care to maintain the course and how hard is it to repair your own mark when you get to the green

Not like you to get on your high horse Homer:whistle:

Usually start the day with a lighter, pitch repair, pencil or sharpie if the leads are broken and a brush with magnetic marker in my right. Back pocket for the scorecard and dampened rule 21 cloth if I remember it.

End it with all the above, a few broken tees, a wrapper from a chocolate bar, the magnetic marker from my cap and another lighter from my bag. If really lucky I also have the ball I started with.

Never carry a second ball if I can avoid it. May take a second to the tee but never keep it in my pocket.

Lighter
snot rag
pitch mark repair tool
foreign coin (tunisian currently)
Driver length tee
broken bit of tee

scorecard stays with the bag/ trolley
