What's in your pockets on the course?

Front right is a mix of wooden tees, ball marker and pitch repairer, front left is a tissue (hay fever), back left is glove and back right is scorecard.
Never carry a spare ball!

OCD and superstition combined for me ..

front right - 5 wooden tees, an old penny ball marker and pitch mark repairer ( same one for 5 years) pencil

front left - nothing

back left - glove when not wearing
back right - scorecard

Never carry a spare ball in my pocket...ever... bad negative thinking thing. :( always in the bag

Im surprised some of guys can move with all the mobile,s wallets, cleaning products etc you're carrying!!! :mmm:

This has to be the Post of the year so far...........why have I never found out the answer to this Golf question before.

Thanks Slab for showing me/us the light......

left pocket money
right pocket 2 wooden tees, pitch repairer, ball marker and a hole, caused by broken tees

:smirk:

A question for those who carry their ball marker in the same pocket as their tees (and any other crap).............

.......have you ever been stood there fumbling around in your pocket trying to find the marker and ended up having to grab everything out in a big mittfull, spilling tees and assorted crap everywhere and retrieve your marker with your other hand???

Grrrrrrrr

Never had that problem with a ball marker, but long tees and a pencil can get confusing sometimes.

Middle of winter can't feel bugger all.

Front pockets: 2 or 3 tees, ball marker, pitchmark repairer.

Back pockets: score card and pencil, sometimes laser rangefinder, glove if putting

Never ever carry a spare ball. That is more or less asking to lose the one in play.

Usually a couple of tee's and ball marker in the right pocket.

Never a spare ball. bag always next to the tee.

card, pencil, gps, iphone all in bag not in pocket....

Slightly off topic, but...........

There is one guy at my place that carries circa 20 tees, pitchmark tool, ball marker and a hankie all in his pocket. Played on same 4bbb team as him recently and was just gobsmacked at his faffing.

He'd putt up close, then take real care to avoid stepping on anyone's line. Get to the ball and juggle about in his pocket for the marker, pull his hand out a few times without said maker - then proceed to take everything out with loads of tees now scattered all around the hole. Marker located, he spots his ball then tramples over all the lines he was avoiding whilst retrieving all his crap!!!!

Good job we were on bone hard links greens so heel prints weren't an issue - faffing of the highest order!!!!

I can never understand why people don't carry a spare ball in their pockets. It boils me when people have to walk back to their bag to reload, especially when it's 60 yards away.

People should have a spare ball on their person.:sbox:

Firstly, why on earth would anyone leave their bag 60 yards away from where they're playing their shot from?

Secondly, doesn't standing there with a spare ball smack of imminent doom?

I like to keep my pockets fairly empty:

front right - a couple of tees, ball marker + pitchmark repairer
front left - handkerchief
back right - glove

everything else goes in the bag

I've never stood on a Tee thinking (doesn't matter if I loose this one as I've got a spare in my pocket)

Oddly enough I've never stood on a tee and thought "I wish I'd brought an extra ball with me!" but then I'm normally teeing off first so have time to go back to my bag before it's my turn again.

Carrying a spare ball does sound a bit like hitting a battered Pinnacle off certain tees when you've been playing a shiny new Pro-V everywhere else. I'd prefer to play positive knowing my Pro-V is going down the fairway than thinking my Pinnacle might be be going elsewhere.

Front Right:

Callaway Pitch Repair/Ball Marker
GM Poker Chip Ball marker
2 x Red Castle Tee's
Pencil

Front Left:

Spare ball for re-load (only when I leave my bag and have to walk a distance to a tee box)

Back Left: Nothing, never take my glove off.

Back Right: Card

out of curiosity is it not easier for a right handed golfer to carry tee's in front left pocket ??? think about it before ye laugh at me ?:):)

I'm missing a joke somewhere (it'll be a facepalm when the penny drops) but I wouldn't have thought so because a right handed golfer would have their glove on their left hand!

no! you place the ball and markers etc with right hand as the clubs held in your left-

or is this a clever joke I've missed?
