What's in your pockets on the course?

Right pocket front : wooden tee
ball marker x 2
pitch mark repairer

Left pocket front : Handkerchief

Right pocket back : Scorecard holder

Left pocket back : Glove whilst putting if not too cold.

Firstly, why on earth would anyone leave their bag 60 yards away from where they're playing their shot from?

We have a couple of holes where you just wouldn't take you bag all the way down to the tee box so you leave it to the side of the fairway just after the green you have finished which on 2 holes is easily 50/60 yards plus.

Front right - 2xlongish tees + 2 x shortish tees + pitchmark repairer + spare ball ( if this makes you fear imminent doom the you're thinking too much)
Back right - 3 ball markers - makes it quicker and easier to get my hands on one..
Front Left - nothing.
Back left - Errr, there ain 't one........

I'm missing a joke somewhere (it'll be a facepalm when the penny drops) but I wouldn't have thought so because a right handed golfer would have their glove on their left hand!

no! you place the ball and markers etc with right hand as the clubs held in your left-

or is this a clever joke I've missed?

no joke guys honestly .. i carry & hold my clubs in my right hand , i put the tee in the ground with my left hand aswell thats all ..

good point cookelad , i didnt get the relevence of the glove as i dont wear one

If you carry a spare ball, do you think other people are looking at you more closely when searching in the rough for your original??

Just a question - it would cross my mind if playing with a stranger.

No, because it will be different to the one I'm playing with and announced on the 1st tee.

tbh robobum that never crossed mind because I would see it as only cheating myself. know a few people I wouldn't trust mind you:rofl:

Playing Devils advocate here . You carry a spare ball as matter of course and when on the green you inadvertently put the wrong ball back into play and drain a 20 footer for birdie/nett birdie, how do you feel now?

LF Phone,silent,glove
RF tees and pitch repairer
LB buzz card,money,and course receipt.
BR scorecard and pencil.

I Think after reading some posts im going to change.

LF tees
RF pitch repairer.
LB glove
RB scorecard and pencil

Front left pitch mark repairer (usually not needed :( ), 3 in 1 club cleaning thingy, pencil and coin for marking
Front right will be 3 different coloured z friction tees and three wooden tees and a spare ball
Back left goes the scorecard (s)
Back right glove in between shots as I believe it makes me look like a pro (not really just got quite sweaty hands)

A fair bit of ocd involved I think

Anybody that has negative thoughts from having a spare ball about them must only take one ball out each round then and leave the rest in your locker surely.

At the start of the round,
Right pocket,
1 X long tee,
1 X short tee,
1 X pitch mark repairer,
a couple of coins for ball marking.

Left pocket,
Baccy,
Papers,
Filters,
Lighter,
Spare ball.

Back pocket,
Score card wallet.

End of the round,
All pockets are mixed up and there's a ton of crap I don't need and have no idea how it got there!

I never put my ball in my pocket when on the green, I usually stand cleaning it and looking at my line so it's always in my hand.

I think i have just come up with the first design flaw of the "Pota-Tee"

Think i may have to start playing in cargo pants...

A question for those who carry their ball marker in the same pocket as their tees (and any other crap).............

.......have you ever been stood there fumbling around in your pocket trying to find the marker and ended up having to grab everything out in a big mittfull, spilling tees and assorted crap everywhere and retrieve your marker with your other hand???

Grrrrrrrr

Certainly had to ferret around a bit, but I use ball markers with points, so easier to find. Coins work pretty well too.

May not have PM repairer as long tees work for me. Spare ball in left pocket. No superstition about needing it, but don't want it getting in the way. Card in back pocket; pencil somewhere, which is normally the thing that takes longest to find.

Handkerchief in left pocket - to at least sort out the drip on one end of my nose!

RH front- 2 pink castle tees for driver. Flix repair tool with magnetic ball marker*
LH front - blue castle and short tee for par 3s
Back pocket. Sometimes a spare ball.

*magnetic ball marker also on left shoe and edge of visor. Can't get enough of the things!
