what type of shot does your course favour from the Tee?

At my course if you have a tendancy to pull or draw the ball you are far more likely to end up in the rubbish and have no shot to the green .So it really favours anyone with a fade or slice as there isnt the amount of trouble to be found down the right hand side of the fairway.
does your track favour a draw or fade more ?or is it a bit of a mixture .
i know a couple of courses that i find a lttle tougher to play as it favours the draw rather than the fade.
over to you lot to let us know what your course favours .

Mostly straight down the middle, only one dog leg left and one right but the other tee shots are prodominetly fairly straight - it's the ball running of into the moorland that's more of the problem than shot shape.

I dont think the question is about dog legs, its about what side of the fairway is best for the second shot.

Ours doesnt really favour either, but, if you can only hit one shape you will be punished even when you hit decent drives.

Our 4th is a long straight par 5. It banks to the left. In the summer, anything straight has to be right of the fairway or it will bounce and feed into the left rough. Hit a draw down there anywhere and your almost guaranteed to find the rough. The only shot that is sure to hold is a fade (or slide if it comes in wide enough)

Being a drawer I had to learn how to fade, being able to work the ball both ways is almost a requirement to play well at our place and it brought my game on.

What is annoying, is that even good shots can be punished for hitting the fairway. Only the bombers can avoid this!

surely that depends on where the pin is that day?

It sure can mean that but I don't think its exclusive. I always want to be on the left side 13 no matter where the pin is. I am sure there are many other examples at my place, its just the one that came to mind.

Both ways at mine, just as many set up for fade as a draw. It seems like every other hole goes the other way so it keeps you on your toes. You either need to play the required shape or try to play short of the trouble and have a longer approach.
