• Thank you all very much for sharing your time with us in 2025. We hope you all have a safe and happy 2026!

What gear have you changed mid season.

how is the bridgestone driver birdieman, you been thinking outside the box with your previous driver choices

Really like it both in terms of performance and looks. Has the green NV aldila shaft which works good for me. Head looks like the Titleist 905 shape. The square Nickent was going ok too but just wasn't keen on the square look really.

I have changed my Nike Sasquatch 2 four wood to a Wilson DF6 3 wood. I then changed the Aldila NVS stiff shaft in this club to a Grafalloy Pro Lite 35 stiff shaft which is much better.

I have also settled on a hybrid finally by purchasing a Wilson DF6 19 degree beauty with a stiff V2 shaft.

MD Cobalt wedges have gone in favour of the Mizuno MPT raw series 53 and 58.

Driver, Irons and Putter escaped the cull!

Also back to the Srixon Z-URS ball from TM Black.

The whole lot.

FT-3 driver for a G10
Callaway Fusion woods and rescues for G10
Irons from X-20 to X-20 Tour
Wedges from X-Tour to Mizuno MPT and MPR
putter from Yes Marilyn to Ping Karsten piper

Just wanted a complete change - some kit getting old, some wasn't working well and the rest I had got tired of!

Purchases over £100 this year-

New Irons - Now TM Burner XD
2 New Drivers - Wilson Spine, now G10
2 New wedges / ball shredders - 50 &58 deg MD superstrong
New carry bag
Motocaddy S3
and finally new TW shoes from Nike.

I ditched my cleveland halo 2I and went for a titleist 3 wood instead, still cant use it properly but it is ever so beautiful when it do go!

putter from Yes Marilyn to Ping Karsten piper

The piper was second on my list - how're you getting on with it?

Superb. I found that the Yes was quite inconsistent when it came to pace. But the Ping feels just right. I used to have a Ping Darby and the Piper is similar in shape. Don't get on with inserts - can't seem to feel anything at all...
