What do you drop?

Already only carry 13 clubs, not put a 3 wood in since I started playing again as the 5 Wood goes a good distance off the tee and deck.

Been toying with the idea of adding a Mini Driver for longer tighter holes to give that bit of distance but safer than the real big stick.

If I had to drop one out of my current set up to add the mini driver. It would be the 60° wedge, it’s a good club they gets the odd use but not enough to warrant it being an absolute necessity in the bag.

I have 12 clubs currently in my bag but it could drop to 11 if I biff the 5 iron Mizuno HMb or ping G430 6iron ( I have been dabbling with my combination set because my striking was pony)
I only have 2 speciality clubs and they are the driver and putter … everything else has to be playable from the fairway otherwise it is an extravagance or ballast. This means I won’t get down in 2 on par 5s over 500 yards ( no issue there) every par 4 upto 500 yards is in scope. Par 3s up to 250 yards are in range ( doesn’t mean on the green) .. that’s me sorted as my bag is based on my ability not the notion of what a club might go.

i currently have a 3W, 2h and 4h. Id either get rid of the 3W or adjust one of the hybrids to a 3h and remove the other

To be honest, I could make do with losing any apart from Driver, 56deg and putter. They get the most use.
In winter I'd defo drop the lob wedge. In summer probably the 5 wood.

Either one of my PW's, I carry 2, or the Driver as I never hit it, to be honest I'm not sure why I even keep it in the bag.

A couple of months ago I would have said 60 degree wedge. But I have already sacrificed that, to experiment with a mini driver in a 14 club set up. So as it stands...I'd probably drop the driver.

Easy decision - the least used club in my bag is the 5 iron.

I probably hit my 24 rescue the same distance with the only real difference being the height of the shot.

The rescue would not go because it is what I hit when the ball is in the rough.

Playing on our 9 hole course it would be the driver, the only hole I use it on is a par 5.

I carry 11 irons (2-PW, 52° & 56° wedges), so it would be easy enough to drop one of them and just manage the gaps on the remaining 10.

The 14th club in my bag is a left handed 7 iron, for when I'm up against the wrong side of a tree.
Can't hit it properly, but it lets me chip out to a better place than a penalty drop.
Gets used perhaps two or three times a year. So that would be the one to go.

I'd drop my 3 and 5 wood and stick in a 4 wood.

Can't belive how many would drop their lob wedge. That's my main chipping club. Ouch that would be a sore loss for me. 😞

I have a 3w, 3h and a 3i. I think the 3i would have to go. But possibly the 3w.

Yeah exactly the same for me.

I only really use the 3i when I'm playing links and heathland courses so I could alternate it with the 3h. Equally, if I dropped the 3w and just used the 3h instead I wouldn't really be missing out on much.
