The WHS won’t give you give 6 extra shots because of the difference in SSS if that’s what you’re thinking. If the slope of Coventry is bigger then you will get more.

And it’s not vanity handicaps I’m worried about, it’s those people who target a high handicap for particular times of the year for example.

Example mate, I know it’s not about SSS going forward. But actually looking at their charts and using my current handicap (again I know this will change) my 19 handicap would gain 8 shots. ?

How do you get 10 more points with six more shots?

Not picking up half way down a hole because I think I’m doing crap or there’s just no way I’ll score? Bothering to play every hole in the blistering rain because I think the day can be salvaged rather than just walking off? If you played that day you’d understand my point. Not just maths.
