Upcoming live concerts.

19 January, seeing Chris McCausland the dancing comedian who happens to be blind, at the local theatre in Aylesbury
His profile has risen enormously over the past couple of months, really looking forward to this 😎

Next year is fixing to be a busy one for gigs, picked up Beth Gibbons tickets yesterday to go with Wilco, Springsteen, Maiden, Get Up Kids, Chat Pile, Skunk Anansie, PWD, Green Lung and Pantera.
Any idea what does Beth Gibbons do live? Any of the Portishead classics or her solo stuff only?

Gutted we couldn’t make his most recent date round these here parts. Loved him for a while but it’s nice to see him become even more loved since doing strictly

What a gig last night, my pal let me down last minute so I went alone but had a great time. Ended up at the very front getting bashed against the barrier from the mosh pit behind me, covered in beer (mostly mine 🤣) but what a night 👌

Don't know if it has been mentioned in here but I went to the ABBA Voyage in London. I've been to a big number of live concerts, seen many of the major rock acts of the last 50 years but I have never experienced anything like this show. If you don't know the background, it is all holograms of the band members and is in a purpose built arena. Because of this, the stage show is round 3 sides of the arena, the light show extends right across the ceiling and the sound quality is unreal. The quality of the CGI is mindblowing, it genuinely looks like real people. Even if you are not into the music, I would highly recommend going to see this show, it is stunning.

Got tickets to see The Dead South in Usher Hall Edingburgh in March.

So excited to see them , I was wanting to go to Texas to see them but boss put kybosh on that.

Current list for this year:
- Bullet for my Valentine & Trivium at the O2
- Frank Turner at Ally Pally
- Pantera at Wembley Arena
- Limp Bizkit at Wembley Arena
- Maiden at West Ham

Saw Toto and Christopher Cross at the NEC last night.

Not seen Toto in nearly 20 years. Aside from a couple of non-original members (mostly because dead), they still sound fantastic and are still at the peak of their powers, when most are well into their 60's and in some cases, early 70's. Was absolutely flawless. They've also recruited a 27 year old keyboard/vocalist called Dennis Atlas who is supremely talented.

Also, never had the pleasure of seeing Christopher Cross - he was exceptional. Baffling that he's 73 and can still sound and play like he does.

Were you not tempted by Papa Roach at Wembley Arena this Friday?

Rise Against tomorrow night at Brixton Academy. Will be the first time I've seen them, having only just got into them last year.

Blimey, quite the late bloomer.

Welcome to the Elder Emo club  . There are a plethora of other great bands in the same vain if you're up for it.
I'll take any suggestions - there's a chance I might have listened already. Ever since I got Spotify I've endeavored to try and listen to as many new bands as possible rather than the same old ones. Rise Against was one I somehow missed before, but ended up being just what I was looking for.

Billy Talent would be the first that springs to mind. And Finch (specifically their debut album)

Also, if you want an album suggestion from a band you’ve probably heard of, Tales Don’t Tell Themselves by Funeral For a Friend is absolutely 10/10 and not what you’d expect (it’s a concept album)
