Upcoming live concerts.

Err yes and no? We do usually get a Nandos before a gig, and there's one right outside Brixton Academy, or used to be. I'm sure we'll be long finished in time to hear the support band though. 👍🏻

Haha fair enough - it was there last month when I walked past. I prefer to go to the market and get a patty or jolof rice whilst I'm in the area!

Just booked The Doobie Brothers (with Michael McDonald) for July with my old man.

Just the £346 for two tickets 😳

Probably the last time we’ll get to see them with Mush Mouth in the lineup so hopefully worth the money!

I’ve got the Rezillos in Edinburgh next month.

Also have tickets for the Pixies, PiL (Johnny Rotten’s band) and New Model Army.

Mate trying to get AC/DC tickets at Murrayfield for us tomorrow.

One of my mates played guitar with them for a few years. He left a couple of years ago but fills in with them from time to time. He played a couple of gigs with them in Spain last month. I’ve got a feeling his new band could be supporting them in Edinburgh.

Great, looking forward to it. Seen them a couple of times before. I actually went to their “last” gig at the Glasgow Apollo in 78 or 79. 🤣

Saw them supporting The Ramones at the Apollo. Seems like a lifetime ago. Saw them in a small venue in Newcastle 3 or 4 years ago as well, very enjoyable.

My mate’s bands are Nanobots and Arrows Meet. He is also in Goodbye Mr McKenzie these days.

How were Tim and the boys? we saw them at Shepherds Bush last year on top top form!
Yeah it was class. They only played one track from my favourite album (Appeal to Reason), but I still loved the set. They just have so many great songs. And the expected political rant didn't take too long either. 😄

Fish in Bristol and Aylesbury at the end of February and just looking at Stillmarillion (epic early Marillion tribute band) and their legendary Half Moon in Putney. Playing 2 sets as always, one a 2 hour Fish era matinee (think they are doing the Fugazi album in entirity this year) and then an evening session of the rest of the Marillion EMI era

February is a pretty busy one as it goes -I now have Jason Isbell, Mogwai, Green Lung/Unto Others, Pantera/Power Trip, Opeth/Grand Magus and Architects. No idea where sleep is going to fit in with all of this!

I so wanted to see Pantera, they're in my top 3 all time metal bands but the thought of Zakk Wylde murdering Dimebags guitar solos was enough to put me off 🤢
Pantera just isn't Pantera without the Abbott brothers.

From what I have seen on Youtube, he doesn't do too bad of a job, in part because there are a couple of key ones that he has the good sense not to play. Overall, I know you're getting at most half the original band - and I was lucky enough to see them four times when they were "that" band, including at Ozzfest 98 which might have been the best Festival set I've seen - and Dime is especially missed. But in my mind it was £80 to see them (and as it happens another band who aren't the same after losing a member) or £80 on my nephew's and niece's inheritance, and I'm sure they won't miss £6 each.

Damn! I never got to see them back in the day 😕
