TV - What Are You Watching?

Just restarted watching Smallville from the beginning. Been years since I watched it and the lad is getting into it so I’m doing it as a watch along for him.

It certainly hasn’t aged overly well and it’s a hell of a lot cheesier than I remember. But it’s easy and light hearted with some nice female leads 🤣

Wow they don’t half swear in Traitors Ireland, luckily it isn’t under parental controls otherwise it would be a long series of bleeps.
I think the lower budget didn't allow for a bleep machine :ROFLMAO:

The Faithfuls think they are doing well because they keep banishing Traitors, much more often than in the UK version but this is mainly due to the infighting between the Traitors. They don't know how or want to work as a team so spend more time setting each other up than picking off the Faithfuls.

Just finished Man on the Inside series 2. Not quite as good as series 1 but still enjoyable and wholesome. We correctly predicted most of the main story arcs, but I guess that's part of the fun. Some of the plot was a bit contrived but it's only a comedy after all rather than a serious spy drama so we can overlook that.

We definitely thought it was a step down from the first season, still enjoyed it though.

I enjoyed the first 3 episodes, was there a previous series?
Also enjoying Small Prophets - no previous series though Mackenzie Crook also wrote The Detectorists and Pearce Quigley was also in that. The two series are very different, but similar in their English whimsy nature; 'spiritual' twist, and gentle English folk soundtrack. Buckets? No buckets here mate :ROFLMAO:

It's different from the UK version in respect of the 'in-fighting', but also I'm not sure the UK version had 'all-or-nothing' challenges.

At this point I am the one swearing. Since yesterday I really hope the faithful win this one. If I ever wanted a traitor not to win it is the ones they have right now.

I'm not feeling invested in any of the contestants - normally I'm backing a Traitor (though no idea why) and sometimes a Faithful...but though I'm enjoying it I'm not feeling quite so engaged.

Kelley and Faye are the classic dumb faithfuls that help Traitors win.
Also proving the classic ‘don’t vote out Traitors too early’ trope as people who you might have thought/known were faithful all of a sudden become Traitors so it’s chaos.
Too easy for these Traitors to win, producers need to throw in some jeopardy.
Good final speech from Jo though.
