TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Randomly spotted that series 5 of Ghosts was out, so watched the first episode. Such a great show!
Finished this the other night. Quite an underrated series I think, we thought it was superb. Just a good, clean comedy, no canned laughter or studio audience, just great characters and scripts. Sorry to see it finished.

There is an American version that we're tempted to dabble with, but I can't see it being as good.

The wife is a big fan and says the US version is fairly decent.

It has the girl from iZombie in it, which is another program we enjoyed a couple of years ago. We started the pilot but couldn't complete it for baby reasons - we'll give it a go though. I guess I thought because the ghosts will represent American history instead of English history, that we might not relate to it as much - but then again I know bugger all about history anyway!

New series of Shetland, main character has left, angry new lead dropped in. Good to see the main supporting cast still there, Tosh holding her ground 😄.

Solid stuff, keep it up.

One to look out for. I spent half the show looking at a character trying to see where I recognised him from. Cracked in the end, had to Google him. One of the leads from Annika, policeman with the luxurious hair, is in it with his hair cut short 😯. I feel he went too far to get that role. That quality of hair should not be sacrificed 😆

Struggling with the latest series of Taskmaster. I pretty confident that it's just that I haven't taken to the contestants, rather than falling out of love with the show. Of the 5 contestants I knew 3 of them already and don't really like them. And of the two I didn't know already, I don't much like one of them either. Oh well. Roll on the next series.

Agree, it’s not been one of the best. The show relies on the contestants and it just isn’t happening this series.

starting to binge the last Billions. I seem to remember lots of negative noises, but half way through and enjoying it. This and recent seasons may not be as good as early seasons but they are still better than most of what is out there

American version is pretty good, and produced by the UK team.

Strange, my wife and I have been loving it. Sam is gloriously odd and Julian Clary's aloof sarcasm and stinging put-downs to Alex have been hilarious. Susan W is a bit boring, I'll grant you.
