TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Tried a couple of times but couldn’t get into it… We have been watching new Frasier on Paramount, the Mrs doesn’t rate it but I think it’s good, like the original it’s not side splitting stuff, but it makes me guffaw in places.
My wife wants to give it another go tonight, so we'll see.
Haven't got Paramount but the odd 'tempters' for Frasier look good.

If you do get Paramount +, watch 1883 worth the subscription on its own - possibly the best bit of TV I have watched for quite a few years.

Just finishing off watching The Pacific. It’s a tough watch.

Three episodes (6, 7 and 8) yesterday evening but had to pause half way through watching 9 (about Okinawa) as the noise and carnage are visceral and unremitting…it’s an exhausting and incredibly grim watch.

For me not quite as engaging as BoB (as you don’t get the same character continuity through the episodes) but worth watching.

Started watching Beckham... it is shocking the level of abuse he got.

I was never a fan of Posh, but some of her actions/words dont particularly fill me with more love for her. Why would you tell a bloke about the pregancy the night before the biggest game of his life? I agree everything is 20/20 in highsight.

I think you have to look at it from Posh's point of view. - it was most certainly the most important time in her life.
Life is more important than football. 😁
I did watch the documentaries and fully agree, the abuse he got was totally over the top. They said that everybody in the country hates Beckham, well, not me!
It came across in the documentary how much it affected him personally, yet he never showed it on the pitch. And all credit to him that he continued on playing.
If more of today's footballers had his never say die attitude it would be much better for the game.

I agree .. young couple expecting their first couple .. happiest moment of their lives… if he had gone out and scored a hat trick .. people would have given her all the credit ..

Gutted at the two leaving Bake Off this week. Seem the nicest of people who don't cry at spilt milk!
to be fair, any time I've seen it, the wee Scottish woman was having a bit of a nightmare. She was a nice person, but I was surprised she lasted so long (disclaimer : I'm not an avid viewer but have seen a few episodes recently.)

It was
Nicky's
time and
Rowan
had a mare in the last round. As you say though, both lovely people who understood it was just cake, it wasn't life or death.
The big relief, the lovely Saku lives to fight another day. I love her giggle.

We have been watching The Reckoning on iPlayer over the last couple of nights, as harrowing the subject events are, the series is exceptional in every way, so well thought out and the acting is great too, although Coogan's voice seems a little off you do get used to it.
Maybe the interest stems from the events being from my childhood and it evokes memories from that time.
