Working through Parks and Recreation (on Amazon Prime and ITVX). Very funny with some of The Office touches like looks to camera.

Managed a couple of episodes of Star Wars Rebels last night, really good

GBBO. Think it was said on here but they have seriously nailed the contestants this time round. All of them seem really likeable and the better bakers not as competitive and intense (on the face of it) as they have been in the past. Will be hard to find a firm favourite (and firm unfavourite)

Struggling with Alison Hammond but giving her some time to find her feet.

Is it just me who tried EVERY time to guess whether it's cake or not at the ad breaks?! Can't believe how often I get it wrong...

I get quite grumpy, irrationally so, with illusion cakes. I want a cake to look like a cake. I don't want it to look like a sandwich or fish and chips. Every break I just stare at them and get annoyed .

Agree with the above. No one outrageously good this year either. Good, but not ridiculously so. How it should be with amateur bakers.

On a similar theme of niceness, the woodwork version of bake off starts again on Sunday. Always good to watch.

I noticed the woodworking series is back and was irritated that they're running at the same time! Love them both so would prefer them to run at different times!

I finished watching series 2 of Domina last night (I rewatched series 1 before starting on 2 to remind me of the characters0
Set in Rome just before the birth of Jesus
Lots of political machinations and family infighting for power.

Last week I did a binge on Last King of the Cross
All about the criminal control of Kings Cross (Sydney's Soho) in the 80s or 90s, the local police corruption and the National police trying to stop it.
Tim Roth was his enigmatic self and just seemed to be carrying on his roles in Tin Star "alright".

They should have stopped after season 1. It went rapidly downhill after.

I think I went about 3 episodes of S2 and then packed it in. Such a shame as the initial concept was excellent. It just turned into generic tosh towards the end of S1

It looks to have turned into a twee US flag waving show with a bit of spy thriller in there, the speech he gave at the end of S1 was truly awful

We watched the first episode of S2 and I was almost reaching for the remote, we'll stick with it for a few more but I can see us giving it a swerve pretty soon.
