TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Ted Lasso… I love it just on 2nd series now. This may sound strange but I see parallels to my career and being part of a team. But I also see what management should be, and it’s about enabling and freeing up people to do their best and celebrating that..

It started out great but gets gradually worse the more issues they cram into it. By the end it becomes almost unwatchable.

Big thanks to those who recommended Slow Horses. I've just taken advantage of a 3 month free subscription via BT for Apple TV so I can watch it (and maybe Ted Lasso after). Been watching a couple of episodes per night and really enjoying it. Just love Oldman's character.

Adolescence on Netflix with the excellent Stephen Graham. Hope the first episode is a sign of what is to come.
Finished it last night. Very, very good. Graham is amazing in it. Most of the other cast are too, including the young lad. Very atmospheric. Feels like it’s done in one shot in real time. Which adds to the intensity.

I have been watching 1883 (Paramount +) prequel to 2023 and Yellowstone, I have never watched either of these 2 and thought I might as well start at the beginning.

Great series about a wagon train crossing America with all the perils of landscape, weather, indians, thieves within the train, bandits, rustlers and hustlers.

The Bay, I don't know what it is but we're always drawn towards UK police dramas, watched Unforgotten the other week and couldn't understand why the characters from that hadn't appeared in this yet. All merging into one.

I get that too! Gave up on The Bay though. Too much furrowed brows and over-acting for me (yikes, there I go again about dramas being too dramatic) :)

Agree absolutely.
But I asked earlier back if the opening scene of the apprehension of a 13 year old was realistic. A mass of armed police, door battered down, full on yelling and gun pointing at children??

I’d not considered really - I was more thinking about how realistic the families reaction to that situation was. But now thinking about it it is possibly over the top. Especially given how sensitively they treat the lad once under arrest.
