Nightsleeper. We binge watched it. I thought it was OK but, for me, the final episode fell a bit flat with too much crammed into a short period of time and too many contrivances to put it all to a conclusion.
But my missus does tell me I think about the plot too much and look at the loopholes and question how that could happen (as at the end of Episode 5 of Nightsleeper).

I finished watching Nightsleeper.
Good enough to keep me watching to the end but really full of 'why don't you moments' and similar.

This week I started watching 'Those About to Die' (Prime)
Gladiators, chariot racing, political infighting in Rome
3 episodes in so far so good.
Probably a bit gory for some.

Finished The Turkish Detective last night. Enjoyable enough, the guy playing the chief inspector was great, and Istanbul looks stunning. But as usual these days, some plot holes a mile wide. Most ludicrous bit was when the main character races out of the police station, telling his colleagues he is off to investigate the warehouse where the baddies are thought to be holed up. On his own. Yeah, that’s going to end well ….

We gave the new series of Taskmaster a go - episode 1. It's going to be tough going with Rosie on there but we'll try and stick with it. Jack Dee is good and Andy Zaltzman was quite funny.

The Mrs and I are in the same boat. Seems that Rosie is getting more of the attention and I find it hard to understand what she says which means I don't have the usual enjoyment from the show.

Yes, she is hard work to follow, and I don't think her jokes are funny either. I was also a little worried about Greg giving her preferential treatment - even more so after she got 5 points on the prize task for seemingly no reason - but he did give her a bit of abuse by the end of the episode. As I say, will still give it a chance as it's an ensemble show and she is only one fifth of it.

Am quite liking Taskmaster - and am thinking Rosie Jones is quite good. Am rather warming to her as a personality. (But still dont like her stand-up comedy routines). TBH, am liking all the five folk on it this time - wasnt sure if Andy Zaltzman's brand of humour would fit but he's fine.

We were concerned about this latest Taskmaster but the players you don’t know are often the funniest. As you say Rosie is only a fifth and so far it’s quite good but certainly not a classic.
We rewatch the odd episode from earlier series every now and again, there are some absolute gems but many of the lockdown ones suffered a bit. The first series with Frank Skinner, Josh Widdecombe, Roisin Connaty, Romesh and Tim Key is a belter and bears another viewing.

My favourite series was 7. James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert clashing on the team tasks is legendary. Gilbert was unhinged.

Bridget Christie and Judi Love were really good, also loved the one with Ben Bailey-Smith (aka Doc Brown) and Jon Richardson getting increasingly exasperated - the Mayor of Chesham is my favourite task, that season had a great line up.

The Penguin, a good start to the spin off from The Batman

Only Murders n the Building. Always watchable but the premise may be wearing a little thin now.

Futurama. So glad this keeps getting saved. Been funnier than The Simpsons for years now.

Watched the first episode of Ludwig last night. Very enjoyable, even if David Mitchell is still playing the same character he has done in everything over the last 20 years :)
We commented on this last night. He isn't alone, so many actors / actresses effectively play the same part in every show they are in. A bit different though, which we need.
