After un-repaired pitch marks on greens, people who don't replace their divots really p!$$ me off.

It takes 2 seconds of your most valueble time the retrieve and replace a divot!

Lovely 3 iron off the tee into a par 4, smack bang in the middle of the fairway............ and rolled straight into an un-repaired divot.

What kills me is the people that DON'T replace divots are the FIRST to complain when this happens to them.

This particular thing gets my goat because I injured my wrist earlier in the year playing from a divot and didn't fancy 15 on, 15 off with the ice over Christmas!!

Sorry for the rant folks.

Completely agree, we even had a divot evening at the club this summer in an attempt to get more visibility to the problem and also to help out out with the filling of them. Shocking to see the difference after a week though.

Maybe I'm being a bit picky but that grass looks a bit long to be fairway. Looking at the lighter green area this side of the first tree in the background - that looks more like fairway.

I can see what you mean RS but the camera was basically at ground level so the grass probably looks alot longer than it actually is.

That was actually my first impression too, I thought the title about plain lazy was referring to the grass not being cut. Then I scrolled down a bit and seen the divot.... :-)

Yes, but the tufts of grass next to the ball look at least as long as half the height of the golf ball which doesn't suggest close mown to me.

Somtimes my divot just explodes into million bits so there's nothing to replace. If that happens, I always tread down the divot to at least create a smoothish surface.

Looks horrid - but on our course we have the blasted crows who turn the divots over looking for grub (s)...they then don't repair them!

I was going to mention crows turning divots over, but Amanda beat me to it

Its not too bad this time of year when the ground is wet and a well tamped down divot stays put,
But in the heat of summer, the crows at our place are known as "Divot Vultures"

Fragger

So if that is position A, where is the flag?

There is a flag to the left behind second tree?

Just curious....

Ash!!

Some clubs that have a real problem with this provide special pegs for anchoring divots - you could ask about them being provided

So lets get this right ............... 18 handicapper hits a 3 iron down the fairway?

Devine retribution I'd say!
