Probably a European super league with Wrexham in itMy assumption, given they weren’t even mentioned, has to be that City have been expelled from the football league.

That’s worse than we have now.Canada experimenting with "needs to be daylight between players" offside rule. Do we want to see goals like this given...

Are we to take it that Utd fans now accept that Amorim shouldn't have been given extra time as per Fergie in order to turn it around? Can we add him to the list of Moyes, Mourinho, Van Gaal, Solskjaer, Ten Haag, who all lasted too long? Can the saying about Ferguson being given extra time so ........... should finally be put to bed? I mean, we've all loved the additional pain you've been through but..........![]()
Carrick will get the job in my opinion, I can’t see how he won’t get it to be honest. To be fair they did get rid of Moyes within 7/8 months!
Stuff like giving managers time is a myth. Especially these days and for elite clubs, which Utd are one of a handful in the world. Bayern, Real, Barca and PSG don't give managers time; you either deliver right away or you're gone. Same for players. It's the culture of winning that drives those clubs on. One of Utd's main issues since Ferguson left is they've acted like a small club and made excuses for players and managers that weren't upto it. Too much time, too accepting of second rate results. The fans should demand more.
Amorim should've been moved on in the summer as he clearly wasn't upto it. As someone said, he did a few good things by getting rid of toxic players but on the flip side, he was ready to bomb out Mainoo - a classy homegrown player. Carrick has done very well because he's just applied common sense and picked the formation that suits his best players. You could argue performances haven't been brilliant but to take them from bottom half to third in a few months is amazing![]()
I tend to agree. If Utd finish season on a relative high, it is almost risker bringing another manager in, even if they are very highly regardedCarrick will get the job in my opinion, I can’t see how he won’t get it to be honest.
If arsenal don’t get over the line (I think they will) but if they don’t, does Arteta stay. Has he gone as far as he can
TBH, I always felt sorry for Moyes. He was always on a hiding to nothing following Fergie and an ageing squad
I didn’t know until the weekend that he has only won the FA cup in his 6 years at Arsenal. Even Spurs have won a European trophy in that timeIf they fall short he has to go. It will be down to him because of his conservative approach, simple as that. For what it’s worth, I think they’ll just do it because they have a marginally better run in.
The problem for the Arsenal board will arise if they bottle the league and somehow win the Champions League. Then they’ve got a real conundrum.
To me it’s not just the run in. I feel in the last couple of years city always seem to be capable of a slip up. The longer a game goes when then haven’t scored, them seem to try too hardIf they fall short he has to go. It will be down to him because of his conservative approach, simple as that. That's a tricky one though. You want the people around you that you feel comfortable with, the people who brought you to your current position. Most managers now come as a package, leave as a package.Although he didn’t help himself by getting rid of every one of Ferguson’s backroom staff.
I wouldn’t get rid of him, he’s got Arsenal back to being contenders and as discussed with other teams, who do you bring in?I didn’t know until the weekend that he has only won the FA cup in his 6 years at Arsenal. Even Spurs have won a European trophy in that time
Not exactly the best record for Mr Arteta.
Edit to say I still Have a feeling it is Arsenals to lose. They have a better run in and City’s last game is v Villa.the three games before are all toughies as well.
You can thank Wenger for this, it’s his idea. Perhaps he thinks he’s still manager of Arsenal? That’s worse than we have now.
The angle is very poor to see any daylight.
Just use a consistent point of reference a head or foot of both players.

I agree. We don't need daylight, it just moves the line. We will still have close calls, that doesn't change. I think people would be happier if it was a consistent part of the body. Make it the chest, your knee, hips, what ever. Keep a single part, chest for me, over the line or not. Simple rules are so much better than complicated ones, make this simple. That’s worse than we have now.

I agree. Currently it gets really dubious when they have to measure the line from the top of someone's arm, as that is the area of the body furtherst forward. I'm not even sure if they have accurately defined where the arm begins and the shoulder starts for handball, and that is a critical part of measuring offside. I've heard sleeve length discussed, but what if players are wearing particularly short sleeves and anothe player wearing long sleeves?I agree. We don't need daylight, it just moves the line.
