I guess it’s going to to come to a head soon though

It’s going to be hard to keep him and Duran happy so one will prob need to leave

But have to wonder why Duran would want to go to West Ham - unless it’s a case of getting a starting place , surprised others aren’t looking at him
Because of the silly asking price they've set?
EDIT: although not entirely their fault - as there's been some right rammel bought for over £100m the last few transfer windows (naming no names 👀 ), so it's clearly inflated the market.

Another conclusion that, as frustrating as it is because Man Utd are so embarrassingly poor, it is flattering that a few fans of another club spend a significant amount of their time reading about Man Utd and sharing their views on Man Utd. Especially when that dedication comes at the expense of spending much less time on their own club.

And, what is worse? A Liverpool fan talking about Man Utd, or a Liverpool fan talking about Liverpool and how they are the greatest club in the world that can do no wrong, and how all other clubs are worse in comparison? I think it is easiest for everyone that the Liverpool fan(s) stick to Man Utd bashing, and it is just the sacrifice us Man Utd fans need to make for the good of everyone else. :ROFLMAO:
Kopites have always been obsessed with how Utd, even in the 70's and 80's when they were conquering all before them always had one eye down the East Lancs.
It's an inferiority complex that they can't seem to shift.
I'll be the first to admit Utd are dreadful at the moment and possibly for a few years to come. But you know in the 50+ years I've supported them we've had decades of dross but decades of success that most of the Utd bashers on here would give their right arm for ONE of our successful seasons never mind the lot we had.
PS. @Arthur Wedge .
How's our injury list looking? And what biscuits are the lads having at half time on Thursday? I know you know

More than happy with the success we have had as a club and wouldn’t swap with any club

No idea who is injured

As for the biscuits

Suspect they will be some that are reflective of the players

So something that’s expensive but falls apart and is very low on quality

Is it hard to keep Jota, Salah, Nunez etc happy?

Never understand this argument, absolutely no need to sell him. If anything Watkins would be more likely sold but I don't see either going unless a release clause is triggered.

This is so good. Liverpool and Man Utd fans arguing about who are the worst 🤣 🤣 🤣

Let me help - the worst ones support a team that plays in red :)
No, not arguing. Just stating my ambivalence to how well other teams are doing in comparison to our poor form.
Even you "council house tenants "🤣

Well Salah plays every game , Jota injury issues , Nunez will prob be unhappy and may leave

but there will be issues keeping players happy , even more so when it’s a player who is looking to establish himself

Even more so when there will be clubs sniffing around

Every club will have issues keeping players happy if they aren’t starting in the main games

I kinda believe that if you're offering them chances and the clubs in a good level of competition - i.e. Europe - the players tend to be quite happy.

Press just love the narrative that one has to be sold, they don't.

City, Liverpool, Chelsea all have big squads with loads of quality players. No Articles on them being flogged.

Well I guess those three can prob offer a bit more than Villa in terms of challenging and wages

Is there not a chance then that Duran wants out ?

Were not exactly not doing well though are we, keep moving in the right direction.

Believe the wage structure has changed too.

I'm sure he wants to play football, but honestly don't think he's ready to be a out and out starter, everyone's getting a bit carried away due to some highlight moments. His temperament needs sorting too.

If someone wants to pay his release clause though, be my guest :ROFLMAO:

It’s footballers - they don’t want to wait for teams to move forward

but if he wants out and to play regularly it’s going to cause issues

It’s a well trodden path now

If he’s not ready to be an out and out starter for Villa then £50mil seems a very good deal

50m wont event touch the sides in todays market.

Hes our future CF, hes 21, Ollie is 28.

He just signed an extension with the club too - so has clearly happy to be where he is - release clause is rumored to be 100m.

I see no articles about Duran trying to leave now, only press trying to sell him for us.

Well as we all know signing a new contract doesn’t always mean someone is happy

Its adds more value to the players fee and also gives the players more money but its no guarantee that it means he is happy to stay and be second fiddle behind Watkins

PSG also rumoured to be looking

If the players wants to play week in week out and Watkins wants to play week in week out then it’s going to be an issue

Yeah well its an issue at every club and everyone else seems to manage, sure we will be alright too.

The new deal added the clause I believe and bumped his wages. He wouldn't sign an extension if his only intention was leaving.

A few highlight goals is all it takes it seems, feels a bit like that Ferguson from Brighton 2 years ago to me....

Well I’m not sure if other clubs manage beyond selling a player if clubs are actively looking to buy and the player wants to leave

There is normally only really one outcome

And of course a player will sign an extension even if they want to leave - even more so if it gives them more money

We signed the likes of Suarez , Alonso , coutinho to extensions and then off they went

And if it’s just a few highlight goals then £50mil is a good price - or he is that good he should be starting

It just shows sully is back in charge of transfers. The circus resumes

Let's bid 60 million for a player that we definitely can't get so we can tell the fans we tried

However Jonathan David would be available for say 30 mil as his contract ends in summer... Watch us not have the money available for him

We've already rejected 50m, he's worth more - maybe 80-100 in todays market.

Yes, but for Man City it is the equivalent of a 10 handicapper not being able to get anywhere near winning a competition, and then cheating the handicap system to increase their handicap to 25, and then winning the lot. The handicap secretary will catch you eventually ;)
No he won’t, they will just change the rules.!😂
