Well that’s a decent CL campaign so far

7 out of 7 and guarentee to top the table

Maybe not - commentators going early with Barce getting a 5th to win their game

Was a crazy end. At 4-4 Benfica had a breakaway in the 89th minute and a one on one chance which Szcesny just kept out with the toe end of his boot.

Then in the 94th minute Benfica denied a clear penalty and Barca hoof the loose ball upfield to Raphina and nab a winner whilst the Benfica players remonstrate with the ref.

If Barca come up against anyone half decent with forwards with any sort of pace, they will get ripped to shreds playing the high line that they do.

Makes a change for me to watch a game with goals rather than the dull 0-0's I manage to pick.

Benfica will be furious they didn't get a penalty to win game, especially as Barcelona countered and scored the winner seconds later

That’s got nothing to do with our finishing though.

Think the ref at least has to go and have a look at that himself for such a big decision.
Looked a pen to me clear push.

It’s another win against a team that were unbeaten in 21 and taken some big scalps in the CL

Kopites have always been obsessed with how Utd, even in the 70's and 80's when they were conquering all before them always had one eye down the East Lancs.
It's an inferiority complex that they can't seem to shift.
I'll be the first to admit Utd are dreadful at the moment and possibly for a few years to come. But you know in the 50+ years I've supported them we've had decades of dross but decades of success that most of the Utd bashers on here would give their right arm for ONE of our successful seasons never mind the lot we had.

If you think that Man U fans arent obsessed with us, you havent got a clue.

Yes it is the biggest rivalry in England, but 99% of Man U fans will list us as their main rival and it has always showed. We used to love listening to Man U in CL semi finals all singing anti-Liverpool songs, even in your biggest moments, we were still on your mind. How we laughed.

In the mid 80's we were still singing anti-Man U songs even when we werent playing you, but by the 90's it had mainly stopped. Man U always raised their game against us as we will always be your cup final.

Despite all your money, big ground, media darlings for years we still had the most trophies, and still do. Even to the point that you include charity shields in your major trophy haul - priceless.

If it wasn't for Liverpool you would probably be on 40 odd leagues and would be the biggest club in England by a country mile and it massively sticks in your craw that despite you being the self-crowned "biggest club in the world" TM, you're not even amongst European Royalty.

Not obsessed with us, do me a favour.

And for balance, yes we do always keep an eye on you, and yes you are our biggest rivals, I will freely admit it. Pity some of the other persuasion on here can't.

I’m in a WhatsApp group with a dozen golf mates. On Sunday one of the members posted half a dozen memes of seagulls taking a dump on the United badge, along with other similar nonsense. He’s a 55 year old retired police superintendent.

He NEVER posts anything relating to the clubs supported by other group members when their teams are battered, and rarely posts anything relating to his own team. His contributions relate solely to Manchester United. In short, he’s obsessed. And he’s been told as much.

He’s a Liverpool fan.
