I really can't see the punishment for City being too severe. A big fine (which is irrelevant to them) and maybe 6 to 8 points deduction at absolute worst. People talking about relegation and expulsion are absolutely dreaming.
Selling someone for big big money helps a lotI don't think PSR is going anywhere, Villa were part of a small number of teams trying to get the cap moved or scrapped all together earlier this season - but the majority of teams still voted for it to remain the same.
Like Phil's said, the only way for clubs like Villa, Newcastle and Forest to keep going in the right direction is to keep recruiting well and maintain league position around the top 6 to get European football.
One bad window/ big money signing hurts a lot!
That being said - if you can flog one player for massive profit it gives you some decent headroom for a number of years - we rode on the Grealish money for 3 years.
You go on Red Cafe, a Manchester United forum? I mean, that sums it up very nicely, doesn't it.Are you making all these judgments based on just those forum and a very very small level of fans ?
Have you ever been to Red Cafe
Might be eye opening for you

I don't go on to Red Cafe, albeit I've probably gone on the site about 5-10 times in my life (had a look at it last year). I just don't have the time to spend even more of my life on other social media. Don't do twitter, don't do facebook (unless I want to see when a mates birthday is). Just having a scan at Red Cafe now, the of the 20 threads visible on the front page, not one mentions Liverpool. So, I'd assume chat about Liverpool is significantly lower than chat about Man Utd.
Ohhh, and I wouldn't even consider for a fraction of a second, in the entire existence of my life, to visit a Liverpool forum (or any other club's forum for that matter)
The one Liverpool forum I’m registered on
Has one thread about Man Utd in a section on Premier League
It also has one for
Everton
Man City
Chelsea ( that’s seems to have dropped down )
Arsenal
Bit upset there's no Forest one there Arthur.![]()

wou'd have been consistent with the two penalties given to Barca.Seen the last goal - would have been a very soft penalty
Still not got round to watching the highlights but the talk on social media highlights the same thingwou'd have been consistent with the two penalties given to Barca.
That is one hell of a detailed breakdown of what goes on in a Man Utd forum, from a Liverpool fan. I bet there are no Utd fans in here that could have given me that level of detail.
No I don’t post on red cafe -
But a Quick Look as it looks like an open forum
Threads about Trent - 40 plus pages
Thread about slot close to 30 pages
Thread about Klopp even longer
Current thread about Liverpool this season is over 50 pages

The biggest Liverpool forum which is the equivalent of Red Cafe is RAWK I believe and that has a lot of Man Utd fans registered
Red Cafe I understand has fans registered from multiple clubs
Imagine that - opposition fans wanting to talk to each other
So where are you making all these judgments about Liverpool fans if you don’t do all these other social media sites ? Just here then ? Surely you aren’t being generic based on one single thread about football![]()

Thankyou for the insight, your obsession pays off
Beyond that, what goes on in dedicated forums for fans of the club isn't overly relevant. I'm not going to check, but I assume all Liverpool forums focus primarily on Liverpool. What is the point in spending a lot of energy talking about other clubs when only Liverpool fans are technically members of the forum. Continually telling each other how you hate Man Utd must get boring, when you'll all have the same opinion. The obsession comes when you get to share your views with fans of other clubs. Therefore, out you go into the world, on twitter, golf monthly, etc, and spread your Man Utd opinions. Maybe even go onto Man Utd forums themselves, just because you cannot resist finding out what is going on. I'm sure many Liverpool fans post on Red Cafe if it is an Open forum.
As for Red Cafe, again I can't see any Liverpool related threads, maybe they are buried well down. But, when you have a forum with millions of users, quoting the page numbers means nothing without context. If there are 40 pages on TAA or 30 pages on Slot, that would seem a lot if the number of users was similar to Golf Monthly. But compared to the the 462 pages on Amorim or 217 pages on Man Utd 24/25 transfers, or the many many other pages on numerous Man Utd related posts, the chat about Liverpool is miniscule.
I mean, there are 43 pages on Coleen Rooney's appearance on the Overlap on Red Cafe, so 40 pages on TAA is nothing.
It's going to be very interesting to see what happens with City and their 115 charges. I keep hearing whisperings they're going to get away with just a fine. The fact that Haaland has just signed a 9-year contract and that City look to be spunking several hundred gajillion pounds in this window would seem to suggest they aren't worried.
And if that is the case, then surely the whole PSR system is untenable...?
I'm responding to you, that is all. Don't start asking me questions, and reminding me to answer questions, and then scold me for replying. And, you have introduced several more points again:So I’ll ask again
Are you basing Liverpool fans just from this one single thread on a golf forum
Have to say - for someone who did say they weren’t that bothered you are writing a lot of paragraphs about it
What is the issue
Man Utd right now are big news and people are talking about them everywhere mainly because of what a car crash that’s been going on over the last 3 years and more
It’s a talking point that I have seen and heard from fans of many clubs on forums , other social media , even in the golf club
surely you would expect to have maybe thicker skin
If other clubs were going through the same mess as United - that would be the topic of conversation
Is it maybe some sort of deflection away from the club
According to that BBC link, 7 of the charges are for breaching PSR rules. Forest received 4 points deduction for one breach last year (with many indignant that it wasn't 6).
So if found guilty of those 7 charges, then I have every confidence that the authorities will be consistent and they can expect a points deduction of between 28 and 42.![]()

My views on Liverpool fans: No doubt you are a Liverpool fan that fits my general impression perfectly, and clearly I'm not alone in here on that, so it isn't just me. The very many Liverpool fans I've known throughout my life, many have been the same. In fairness, many were when we were kids and immature. When I have come across football fans in other walks of life, social media, it is always the Liverpool fans that seem to be the loudest, and talking about Man Utd. Remember, I'm talking generally. I'm not saying every Liverpool fan is like this, nor have I obviously met every Liverpool fan. There is another regular poster in here that supports Liverpool, who seems to be a pretty normal football fan for example. But, for me, it is always Liverpool fans that shout the loudest, even if it isn't about their own club.
Man Utd big news: Of course they are, I'm not asking everyone to stop talking about them. Media are motivated by selling themselves. Fans of all other clubs will take the mick and have opinions to a point, and no issue with banter from Liverpool fans. But, I'm not sure there is any other fan on this thread that obsesses with Man Utd so much. Forest fans are almost 100% focused on Forest right now. City fans primarily focus on Man City. It's mainly only Man Utd / Liverpool (not all, see above) fans that spend most of their efforts on Man Utd in here.
Thick skin: There is a saying about pots and kettles, although given most of my own opinions on Man Utd are also negative, probably not a thick skin issue.
Other Clubs in a Mess: Spurs are in a mess, what is the balance of Spurs posts to Man Utd posts from yourself?
Deflection: How can I deflect away from Man Utd by having a conversation about Man Utd?

Can we leave this now please. It's dragging on and sucking the fun out of the thread
I read a lot about United and comment a lot on them too -
A lot of my mates are United supporters
They've been the biggest/ best club in the country for the majority of my life
20x more news about United than about Villa
I think all fans have opinion on some other teams - and nothing on others.
I don't care to read about Leicester or Fulham, they don't interest me.
