Ah but the next chapter in the story is that the handicap secretary just gives the 10 handicapper a derisory slap on the wrists that doesn’t punish him in any way and then the 10 handicapper just carries on as before.
However the handicap Secretary in a previous chapter has already handed out a slap on the wrist to other members who have carried on and are now close to getting there name on the honours board. 😉

Yes, but for Man City it is the equivalent of a 10 handicapper not being able to get anywhere near winning a competition, and then cheating the handicap system to increase their handicap to 25, and then winning the lot. The handicap secretary will catch you eventually ;)
Or you could have a player who has spent £750 million on new shinys is still playing off a hcap of 25. The handicap secretary feeling sorry for said player does a hcap review and ups his hcap to 35 to help save further embarrassment. Unfortunately It don’t work. 😳

Find me a football fan that wouldn't be proud of their club if it was achieving what Man Utd were achieving during the first 20 years or so of the Premier League. But I honestly do not believe at all that, in general, Man Utd fans were "loving it when everyone else were talking about them". I couldn't have cared less about what other people were talking about, my primary focus was on what Man Utd were doing at the time. 90% of the things I talked about were about my club, and that is what I saw from other Man Utd fans. I think this is a conclusion you have wrongly made to try and justify how you dedicate your life to football?

There will always be mocking between rivals. But, when Man Utd were at their best, I dedicated only a very very small fraction of my time laughing at the state of Liverpool. I was taking joy from what my Club were doing. And, if I was paying more attention to other clubs at times, it was more likely to be clubs like Blackburn, Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City when they were our main challengers. Very little attention was paid to Liverpool, except when we played against each other. I think it would have been quite sad if I missed out on a lot of that joy back then, because much of my attention was on another Club and how badly they were doing.

Just to clear up a few other points. How many Chelsea fans are obsessed with Liverpool, this is something I never realized was a thing? I don't think any Man Utd fans are obsessed with Nunez or Trent. ALL fans that don't support Liverpool have pretty much called out Nunez as a flop or TAA as a poor defender. These discussions seem to begin at relevant times (i.e. when Liverpool are playing and an incident happens to generate that discussion). I don't think Man Utd fans are exclusively beginning conversations on either player, at random times, because they are obsessed with those players.

Also, just wanted to point out a contradiction. Your first line stated Man Utd fans loved it when all the talk was about them when they were doing well. Your 3rd line says good news doesn't create traffic.
I could be wrong, but Man Utd fans may of been loving it, but what narked a lot of fans including every City fan I know was the gloating from the Utd fans. And me personally, it was not so much the fans that went to the game but those that had prime seats in the SKY HD stand aka the settee. Those that never knew the way to Old Trafford. Am not to sure that the time you mention ( the first 20 years of the prem ) that City were your rivals in the Prem as part of the time York were our rivals.

If you are talking about any large club with tens of millions of fans, I think one should just accept most fans watch the games on TV. Even if they wanted to, it would be a tight squeeze in the stadium :ROFLMAO:

Rashford's representatives have met with Barcelona. Now, I haven't really watched Barcelona much in quite a few years, but remember them being a high possession type side. If they still want to play like that, having an interest in Rashford seems strange.

One thing is for sure, Rashford and his representatives (his brother and mates) must be managing quite a few decent City breaks this month. Must be lovely to get paid over £300,000 a week by your employer and know you don't have to go to work, and do some travelling.

Barcelona can’t sign any players

It’s why Dani Olmo had issues being registered

How Barca have slipped if their looking at Rashford.

Its not Rashford they need...it is Trump and his wall.

Cant defend for toffee and calamity collision between Szcesny and the centre back in the middle of the half to let the Benfica striker run through on goal from 30 yards out with no challenge.

Benfica should have had a 4th and a 5th in the last 5 minutes. Barca really are shocking defensively.

As ever though....cant help thinking that Benfica might rue these missed chances.

It is a very good Lille team though , some great results in the CL this season
That’s got nothing to do with our finishing though.
Well that’s a decent CL campaign so far

7 out of 7 and guarentee to top the table

Maybe not - commentators going early with Barce getting a 5th to win their game 😂
Think the ref at least has to go and have a look at that himself for such a big decision.
Looked a pen to me clear push.
