I watched the last 20 minutes of the Ipswich game and they were similar. So obsessed with keeping possession that they wont take a shot unless right in front of goal. Shearer was doing his nut, rightly in commentary. Just hit it 😡
I've been shouting at the TV for ages when we try and walk the bloody thing into the net instead of putting your foot through it.
It's frustrating watching them play such good football everywhere on the pitch until it's time to pull the trigger .
Conversely though it's just as frustrating watching shots from nowhere go sailing into row Z ,or nearly take the corner flag out .
Ahh but when it all comes together .. ,now that's a different story .😃

I turned off at half time (both matches last night, as it happens), Arsenal were as clueless as you see England sometimes when faced with ten men behind the ball. so slow to recycle the ball that the Ipswich defence was reset ready for the next phase of play....sometimes you just have to throw the ball in to the mixer and see where it falls....inevitably the ball will eventually fall to an Arsenal player with the goal at their mercy.

Just found out Amazon won’t be showing any more Prem games for the foreseeable future.

Real shame that, always thought their coverage was really good. Especially in so far as during the coverage for a Brentford v Brighton match (for example) they ACTUALLY talk about Brentford and Brighton. As oppose to a quick mention of the two teams playing, before reverting to discussing the latest news and views surrounding six of their preferred clubs, like a certain other broadcaster does. 😉

Reading that City are interested in about £200 million pounds worth of players yet McAtee could be on his way. I am banging my head around this one. He was brought back from his loan spell and has been given no chance whatsoever.
Just reading Billyboots comments about the balance between young and experienced. City have won 3 out of the last four U21 prem titles and yet where are the young ones. Don’t get me wrong they have made over half a billion from the academy but there’s not enough young ones coming into the first team.
Another thing puzzles me. The allegations of Pep only having money and players to succeed. Ave said this before. His first coaching role was an abysmal B and C teams which he combined. He did such a good job he got the Barca Job in front of Mourinho. But he brought in Busquest and Pedro from the B team and got rid of Deco, Ronaldhino ( who was knocking off the previous managers daughter) and eventually Eto. So why is he sticking with players who are past it now.

It’s been decent coverage and I like the fact you could pick any one of the matches happening ok Boxing Day

I think anyone who says that knows they're talking absolute balderdash and just finding something to try and knock the guy.

But...I do think we/he takes some of the blame for the tippy tappy football trend. Can't blame others for seeing it as a successful way to play but it's not always that entertaining and can be frustrating...

Yes and playing that way kills Haalands biggest asset his strength.
Give him a few balls to fight for he’s getting frustrated imo.
He might just leave at the end of the season if Pep dosnt sort it out.

Pep is no doubt a top quality manager and will go down as one of the best around

He did take over a very good Barcelona team - spent a lot of money and won trophies

Took over a Munich Team that had just won the quad - spent more and won multiple trophies

And then took over a City side - and in the period since he joined has spent more than any other manager - £1.3bn , average of £130mil a season , outside Foden not sure what other young player has been developed through to be a main stay in the squad

It would be interesting to see how he would work where he doesn’t have an unlimited budget and has to fully rebuild a squad , it maybe the situation he is in now

He has earned the chances to go into these top clubs where the foundation is built but would be inte

Apparently Trent won’t be signing a new contract at Liverpool & will be joining Real Madrid.
It's remarkable that they've allowed 3 important players to reach this stage, it's poor management (overall, not Slot or Klopp)

(Yes, equally poor of Everton to allow the same with a number of their players)

Lot of it comes down to poor timing of everything, normally they get things sorted 18 months before but Klopp leaving prob made the players sit back and think - plus the changes above the manager as well - a consequence of all the changes , the players should have been sorted last season imo

The club seems pretty relaxed about it all , VVD and Mo clearly want to stay so I suspect they will find a resolution, Trent - still every chance he signs and the more reliable media has him still negotiating as opposed to the Madrid bias media.

Think there is no doubt that VVD and Mo will definitely be there next season - Trent we will see but good news is there is a very talented right back there waiting in the wings

Not much the club can do if he wants to move.

I’m sure the club has tried to change his mind.

Good luck to him he’s done well for us.

Right now it’s standard Marca tactics -
Helping Madrid unsettle players , they first reported he was signing for them back in October and it was dismissed then. When it comes to Trent he was clear that it’s all done in private and he will or the club itself will announce it

Out of the three he is the most likely to leave though
