I thought Amorim was a decent appointment but there must be concerns at Old Trafford. It looks madness to play 343 when you haven't got the players to play it as it ends up 541. This is the lowest level I've ever seen Utd play at and that includes the Moyes and Rangnick eras.

Dodgy keeper, defence way too slow and weak, no midfield and a donkey up top. I did get some stick about calling Hojlund that last year but the guy is miles off the level required.
To be fair to Amorim, when his team battered City in the Champs league, he had a group of players that had energy and belief.
He has inherited a squad that is shocking. I don’t think City and Utd could get a decent starting 11 at the moment.

Amorim needs a very specific group of players to get his system to work

Going to take a lot of money.

That’s never a yellow and red for Fernandes.

To be fair, the second yellow was probably a booking. But the first was ridiculously soft. And Yoro’s after four minutes was poor.

But equally, having seen what the officiating was like, Fernandes should never have then given the referee food for thought by making the second challenge just after half time. So poor refereeing, but equally poor from the player himself.

I think these United players are really struggling to adapt to a new system, and whilst I have concerns I also accept the change will take time.

Our set piece defending is shambolic. To concede two goals from corners in the last fortnight is embarrassing at best. It needs sorting, and it needs sorting quickly.

I note we’re being reminded that Hojlund is a donkey. I fail to see how any striker could look even remotely decent with no service whatsoever. The creativity behind and either side of him this evening was absolutely non existent. I’m perplexed at how that equates to Hojlund himself being a donkey, but there you go.

A huge amount of work to be done, which is depressing given the vast sums of money spent. I need another release for the time being, because I’m finding football providing no enjoyment whatsoever.

Very poor from Gravenberch he’s got to do more to stop the cross.

But Robertson turning his back on the striker in the box that’s schoolboy defending.

We’re struggling to get behind them here.

Two mins extra time is a joke the keeper takes that long to take a goal kick.
Timekeeper needed as refs are not playing enough.
But he will book the keeper on 89 mins.

Get in .

I have said the same about Haaland, I was reading week after week how centre halves were doing a job on him, yet he is getting no service. I think there is a few Clubs that need a major rebuild. Citys could start in the next week or so.

I think the only option is to 'trust the process' and allow Amorim a few windows to bring in players suited to his system. As bad as it's looking, you can't appoint someone and then not back them. He could well be using this time to throw a few players under the bus and highlight what's needed.

The donkey comment was a joke but he's not good enough. His record against good teams is poor and he only seems to do well against lesser sides or in cups. He creates nothing for himself or the team and offers very little bar tapping in easy chances.

Onana
Martinez
Maguire
Antony
Rashford
Hojlund

All need to be offloaded and will probably bring in a decent amount.

I don't think clubs will be queuing up to buy any of them due to wages.

I thought Fulham were outstanding yesterday, I would say without question that they were the most impressive team we have played this season.

One concern for us is that we’ve looked a bit found out in the last couple of games against Everton and then again yesterday. Yet we’ve made 3 subs across 180 mins, despite the strength and depth in the squad - that says to me that Maresca is lacking in ideas in how to change what he is seeing on the pitch, and/or has no trust in anyone except the 11 he starts with.
