Before the pen I would have said point is fair result

Both teams lacking in front of goal

Both keepers with a few important saves

Respect the point

Decent hit 😂

And it was never a penalty - would like to see just once a referee go to the screen and stick with his decision
2 things, I don’t think he’d of seen such a slight touch in real time and only become aware when West Ham players appealed, VAR stepped in, plus I don’t think they dare to be fair to them, just imagine next week if we get the same scenario and the Ref sticks with no penalty, the manager of the team not getting the penalty will kick up a fuss about incompetence or consistencey etc and the Ref will get pillared.

It’s shouldn’t be a penalty imo

A draw is prob the right result at the end

Do like Carragher and Henry doing the analysis after

It’s a shame they don’t do it more often as a pair

They do a Champions League show with Micah Richards for another broadcaster, (CBS Sports) they gel quite well on it.

Problem with the penalty though, Bowen appealed straight away, so it’s definitely hit his hand, the only way you could disallow it is to say his arm was in a natural position and it wasn’t.

May seem harsh, but VAR got it right.

Would it depend on what substance has been found?

I'd guess so. But I'm thinking back to when Rio Ferdinand missed a drugs test by accident back in 2003, attempted to get it done before the day was out but the testers had left the ground, provided a clear test 2 days later but was still banned for 8 months.

If they're that harsh under those circumstances, you'd think anyone testing positive for anything banned wouldn't be shown much leniency, no matter what the reason/excuse.

Forgot about Ferdinand. I’m just aware how current tennis players always seem to find a loophole or get quite lenient suspensions, maybe football is more strict.
