started the week at 7.3 or something, gaining a bit of form recently, but not shooting particularly low.

Won a board comp last Sunday with my first level par round.

Thursday was 3 over for 17 holes in a bounce game, took some moola off Odvan and the mate.

Spanked, sorry, beat Odvan and Lincoln Quaker under pressure, from a forum post........but also went round Pleasington, which is a good track in 3 over again.

Played our first round "road to Dubai" with my mate Andy today and we won 2 and 1 away from Home.

Finished the week on 5.7.

Marshalled/reffed my first club final today in the morning.

Cracking week, good play, good banter, good weather and most of all with good company. these weeks are out there for all of us, among all the crap.

Hope LQ did well at SAOL today.

Anyone else had a cracking week recently?

Good stuff pete. I had a great two or three weeks at the start of the year, seems a long time ago now. Still playing ok and enjoying it though, despite not hitting the same heights.

Enjoy it while it lasts... And get yourself into cat 1!

Your my hero Peter you really are :D

I am still working out how you made so many pars from visiting so few fairways and as for the birdies I just can't bring myself to acknowledge they ever happened.

Thanks for the support for SAOL, played like a proper chomper and still the last few holes killed my card yet again, will get cut 0.3 overall due the fact I had a nett 72 in the pm round but wasted good drive after good drive with poor shots and even poorer putts. This stupid game does my head in.

Nice to see your 5.7 handicap is getting lower, a season best 8.9 for me but the chance of catching steady Dave is never going to happen.

Thanks all. Thanks Kaz, would just top the year off after struggling with my putting which took me from 5.7 up to about 7.3, to go back down and hopefully further, now I'm confident with the putter again.

Well done on the cut Glyn. Again, beware the up and down man!!!!!!

I do like to see the Northern boys getting their handicaps cut before the big grudge match.

Getting cut, but in good form we are.........

I think my last good week was the week away in the Highlands, just not playing enough at the moment.

Glyn, you can still catch me. Just steer clear of the Hotchkin and get in a few easy opens. your playing well enough

Im chompin' for England at the moment
