Swing speed increase drills

Hey All,

What drills do people recommend to increase swing speed? Even gym routines with weights etc.

Hoping this will help increase driver distance, is that true?

Some pros swing with a shaft only, which gets them used to the feeling of swinging fast.

Of course it does, or why would you bother?

You can buy sets of swing speed trainers, which I are generally different weights on the end of dummy shafts, and you just swing them around and build up to the heavier ones I think. Not done it myself.

Get a speed radar(you can buy the blue or red one off ebay or online).

Then just practise with one arm swings(left & right) with a club shaft, swinging as fast as you can.

Also practise then swinging your driver as fast as you can and just a shaft with two arms.

The practise hitting a ball, swinging as fast as you can.

I picked up about 10mph doing speed training.

Keep records, it is great fun to do

I know they are costly but Superspeed Golf just works. 3 differently weighted shafts and you swing then as hard as you can 2 or 3 times a week.
