strange disparity in price of Garmin G3

I was looking at these on line last night, I saw Amazon did then for £139.99, I check Currys they had them listed at £220.
So I called into American golf this morning they had them at £249. I told them the Amazon price, which they checked on line and said they would match it. So I bought one from them. I was happy but why such wide difference in price.
I also noticed tonight that Dixon were offering them even cheaper.

No idea. I would have thought they would have been fairly uniformed as they have been superceded by several other models

got mine off tesco, last I knew they were out of stock

Mine arrived from amazon yesterday for 139 (so far so good). Tesco are out of stock. Agree re the strange price disparity - some places ae asking about £250. The mob who give the free £10 voucher in GM have them for £199 but don't let you apply the voucher against the price as according to them it is already discounted.

i suspect as its an older model and there are newer versions out tesco/amazon have done a bulk buy at gretaly reduced cost from garmin as a bit of a clearance line whereas the other retailers have bought them in at original costing and are therefore still trying to sell at MRRP.

I got the Garmin G5 from my mate who works for them, got a cheeky little discount for it aswell

Lovely piece of kit, must remember to re charge the battery's before my round this afternoon
