Spectator takes Rory's Club

Just seen on the BBC website that a spectator took a club from Rory's bag whilst they were waiting on the tee and had a few practice swings! Apparently seemed surprised when he was told he couldn't do that and was ejected!

If it wasn't for the fact that the idiot is middle-aged, I'd assume it was a prank.
Watching it a couple of times though, the main thing I'm thinking is that there's no way Rory McIlroy is 5'10".

Ha ha definitely, he walked passed me at the British Masters a couple of years ago, I'm 5'10" and he was much smaller than me.
Maybe he wears "special" shoes now ?

The "authorities" were plainly missing as the spectator was allowed to get that close to the players.

Yeah, who the hell came up with that one. If you say that out loud it doesn't sound like Aberdeen it sounds like "a burden" to me.

Pranks are pretty common on Tour. They may have thought that someone had put him up to it.

I think arresting him is rather harsh. He was in breach of the ticket conditions for entry to the event, though.
