Scotland Job

I don't think you'll find many arguing that he was a failure at 'Boro. He has been decent every where else. Now you mention Mowbray and Steachan as polar opposites in terms of success, that happened at their previous club too ;)

TM is one of the worst Celtic managers I'd ever seen and he had a bit of cash to spend too but its got to be a toss up between him and Lou Macari as the worst.

Luigi is up there along with Liam Brady and Mogga,at least Brady brought us Mogga who was colossal as a player so yes it is Luigi who wins it for me as the worst.

Yeah can't argue with that about Mowbray either but we're talking about Strachan. Surely there was someone better out there, assuming the appointment had to be Scottish what about Dalgleish or Billy Davies? or push the boat out for Paul Lambert, a massively talented manager IMO

Happy with Strachan - just been a fan of his ever since his time at Aberdeen when he occupied the berth vacated by Joe Harper as mega irritant and piss taker of the OF.

Loved Stewart Regan's comment in a radio interview following Strachan's appointment

"he's a straight talking guy - he calls a spade a shovel" :D

I'll give you Davies but Strachan ahead of Dalgleish or Lambert? especially Lambert, he's been immense with a tight budget at Norwich. Villa not so good mind.

Lambert is still a very young manager learning his tread, im certain he'll come good at Villa given time, the Scotland job is not for him...............yet.

I'd be surprised if Dalgleish would have been interested anyway but I'd rather have Strachan the KK, I reckon GS will get the best from the players, im not saying KK couldn't just feel more suited to GS.

Sensible tidy up, thank you whoever did so. Pretty disgusting post with no place for it on a golf forum.

They are friends and get on well together.

I'm sure the Gothenburg legends will do absolutely fine together.

Gordon Strachan says he's already preparing for the 2014 World Cup, he's bought himself a new telly ;)
