Gary, at some point you are going to have to stop referring to yourself as being short off the tee.

Yesterday was the second time you have won longest drive at a forum meet at Beau, and 290 up hill is pretty big by any standard.

How you get it out there, no idea!

But seriously, if Gary is short off the tee with his numbers, I might as well give up!

My drives can't even compete with pokerjoke's 3 wood (I think it must be non-conforming )

I have no idea how Gary does it though.

it was a bloody good drive, not only long (on an uphill hole) but straight. had a very good 1st bounce and just kept rolling

Richard was only a few yards behind also. Mine went 150 yard forward and about the same right onto the next fairway

When I saw the marker, my first thought was that no one had hit the fairway and that some one was having a joke !! That was an awesome dig up hill !!!!

The moment of the day for me was walking up the 14th to collect the longest drive marker, on which was written:

REGION "HUGE" 3 - 290

I don't think I'm short off the tee murph, but looking at the numbers on here sometimes can give you a complex

I hit a few good ones yesterday, but not enough straight. Was just lucky that one of the straight ones was on that hole.


Off the top of my head (probably missed some) I've played with fundy, PieMan, JustOne and snelly who are all comfortably longer than me, but if we ever have a forum long drive contest handicapped by physical size I'll have a couple of quid on myself

He's not that long!

It was the 2nd (maybe 3rd) time he'd bought the big dog out yesterday. Every other time was wildly sliced, but he absolutely nailed his drive on the 14th yesterday afternoon and could not have hit a sweeter drive.

Well, he hit two balls on most holes, "just in case" but on this occasion he was giving Pokerjoke's Cobra S2 a trial. It wasn't pretty.

He's not that long!

It was the 2nd (maybe 3rd) time he'd bought the big dog out yesterday. Every other time was wildly sliced, but he absolutely nailed his drive on the 14th yesterday afternoon and could not have hit a sweeter drive.

No it was my driver,as aztec said my driver only came out 3 or 4 times all day[too wild]however they werent sliced they were hooked trying to hit the ball too hard.I said that to region just to make him feel inferior,looks like it worked,lol

It was definitely a good spank and bang in the middle of the fairway. I wanted Region to win something after all the effort he'd put in organising the day , so I fell on my sword and duck hooked one into the trees left never to be seen again
