Kaz did not reply with a bucket of sarcasm though. So 67% is the the same 2 out of 3 that I mentioned then ? good to know

And, I just asked a question. ?
I meant more the amount of picks ?Was going to say it'd be hard for USA to get guys off the Race to Dubai list but, on reflection, I think Morikawa is still leading it...?

The yanks had to change something as they were losing interest by getting gubbed every couple of years.I meant more the amount of picks ?
Oh so your question wasn’t loaded with sarcasm ?- ah my apologies ?

I think the perceived danger with 12 picks is that the Captain may pick his mates and not necessarily the best team
Can I just get this off my chest. I hate that emoji. ?
Which is seemingly what’s happened with Harrington picking Poulter - who missed the cut at the biggest event on the ET - and the most recent event - and in not picking Rose, who came 4th(?)
A lot of you seem to be ignoring the fact that the main reason for the qualification process is to strengthen the field at European tour events.
USA doesn’t have the same issue as they all play on the PGA tour.
If you want the strongest team it would be 12 captain’s picks.
And youd still have picked 10,11 or 12 of this side with 12 picks and theyd still be betting humped . Golf becomes a team sport and non picked players automatically become better players lol (been happening in football, cricket, rugby for decades)
Who do people think Harrington hasnt picked that wouldve made that much of a difference?
Think you summed it up perfectly really thereRegardless of the selection process, even if the Captain had 12 picks, what European players would be worth a spot that are not in the team? I can't think of one player that stands out for certain that should be in this team that isn't already. To be fair, I don't watch all the golf, so am genuinely intrigued who "should" be in the team that isn't?
Even if Captain had 12 picks, every single Captain would have picked McIlroy. They'd probably have picked Fleetwood and many of the other guys who have not played well.
Surely it is simply down to.fact the US players are miles better than the Europeans. The US have a young team of high ranked players, and playing at home. Europe have an aging side and lower ranked players, playing Away. Before tournament, experience was considered their only hope to try and compete against these odds.
Whatever process is used, looks like the US could he favourites for many Ryder Cups to come. Unless we can find a few more Rahms.
