Random Irritations

Pulled into the garage this morning on my way to work to get some petrol. I did actually need some. The bell end next to me has his boot up and is filling four brand new red plastic fuel containers with diesel. I was so hoping that he overfilled one of them so that the fuel spilled into the boot.

Our head greenkeeper had to put up with a bit of fuel rage some years ago. He was filling up the containers to use in our course mowers etc.

Yes most judges will give you “one hit “ self defence.
He’s lost an eye we heard.

You get more than one hit if someone has a weapon. One hit back might not be enough to stop him. If a person is that unhinged they've attacked you with a weapon, how can you be sure they'll not try again unless they're out cold? It'll be a great court case though.

I've got zero time for Barton and have said he should've been jailed for longer in the past for some of his antics but this incident is curious.

It looks like the so called victim started the trouble, went back to his car to get tooled up, tried to attack Barton and then got battered. He's then grassed everyone up which isn't a good look, especially in Liverpool....

The idiots in charge of the gym nearest home who have moved the equipment round supposedly to make room for a CrossFit area.

They’ve moved the squat rack/deadlift platform adjacent to a wall. Issue with this is if you’re loading the bar to squat you’ve got an 8” gap in which to squeeze yourself in and load 20-25kg plates at shoulder height! If you choose to deadlift you’ve have that same size gap and have to load the plates at ankle height but contort you legs round the raised platform so you don’t crush yourself feet! Saw 4 people this morning struggle and fend up walking away because they could use it.

And just for 💩 and goggles that wall is a mirrored wall one so on slip with a plate you’re getting covered in glass 👍😒

More than an irritation.

Today is the 30th anniversary of the Dunblane shooting. The candle will go in the window tonight in memory of the sixteen children and one teacher that died in horrific circumstances, and we will also think of the families so deeply affected on that day.

We owe them an even deeper debt of gratitude. The reason I’m not scared every day that my kids will be shot up at school is in no small part because of the bereaved relatives strength and determination in fighting for and pushing through tighter legislation on handguns and reloading weapons.

Playing yesterday in stupid conditions. Course boggy (bar greens), intermittent rain and blowing a hoolie.
On a crucial shot I struck the ball, it looked good then the wind got it and blew it way off course.
I was putting for par 😥

I was commuting from Bristol to Surrey at the time...we hadn't yet moved though my job had moved to Farnborough. I had a late morning start so left Bristol later than normal. I can recall very clearly driving along the M4 listening to the news come in with tears rolling down my cheeks...I had to slow right down. I knew Dunblane quite well having driving through it many times when heading up north from Glasgow, and most impacting - our children were 1 and 4 at the time.
