It turns out I forgot to pay for fuel the week before last! I paid for my food, but not the fuel, easily sorted with a £35 admin charge on top.
You're out for a jog. You see two people walking on the path ahead of you, in your direction. They take up the full width of the path, and you are next to a fairly busy road. You would think that they might be able to walk in single file for a few seconds, so that you can safely jog past them. But no, instead they continue to take up the full width of the pavement, ignore you and expect you to run onto the road, back to traffic. Especially irritating when there is actually a car coming up the road.

Any updates? My mate has just messaged that his planned flight on Thursday has been cancelled and no alternative offered. He was only meant to transit through Abu Dhabi last Saturday, couple of hours in the airport max. We’re pretty chilled about it actually - what can you do?
We were at the airport in the lounge when we heard some explosions. There was a bit of confusion for a couple of hours but when we realised that nothing was going to go, we made the decision to simply re book our hotel as we knew it and it is alongside a Mall for necessities if we needed them, then swiftly got a cab out.
Etihad have cancelled the flight but are/will rebook us onto the first available whenever.
So we were having a nice curry yesterday evening instead of being bussed to wherever Etihad had booked for thousands of passengers which would have taken forever.
Admittedly your phone squawking in the middle of the night with missile warnings doesn’t make for the best nights sleep, but
My only minor irritation is the difference in time taken to buy some shorts and a shirt and flip flops by a man and a woman plus other necessities.
However we are now sitting near the beach with a Peroni so it can’t be all bad.
I was really tempted to use that line that an American used during the ashcloud issue when told that all flights were cancelled and she said “What even business class?”
barge into them and just say "sorry, didn't see you" and carry on.You're out for a jog. You see two people walking on the path ahead of you, in your direction. Or defending a corner in footballShoulder-barge between them as if you're trying to break through the defensive line in rugby?
Or just pick the smaller one and as you run into them hoist them up over your shoulder.Shoulder-barge between them as if you're trying to break through the defensive line in rugby?
You're in a face to face chat with someone and their phone rings. They immediately answer it, regardless, giving you a "just a minute" gesture or, worse turning away.
It's the equivalent of someone walking up, barging between you both and starting a conversation with one of you.
Who's bright idea was it to have matches kick off at 20.15? I'll be dropping off by half time.
The big games all kick off at 19:30 or 20:30 for you.And your 20:15 is our 21:15. I’ve had my ovaltine before the match starts
Such a stupid kick off time, I'll still have a half hour walk home after full time too.And your 20:15 is our 21:15. I’ve had my ovaltine before the match starts
In all seriousness it’s TNT showing every game and they put 1 game on late, 20:15, tonight and tomorrow.Such a stupid kick off time, I'll still have a half hour walk home after full time too.
And now you've reminded me to pick some Ovaltine up when I got to Tesco.
Yeah always pick one out don't they, which is great when I'm sat at home so I can watch more of it, not when I have to go out in the cold.In all seriousness it’s TNT showing every game and they put 1 game on late, 20:15, tonight and tomorrow.![]()

Sorry to hear this LMS. I totally understand your issues. The long running saga that is my shoulder injury. Last couple of weeks it’s been in a good place, the odd twinge of discomfort but nothing serious. I’ve been able to train in the gym with weight, been doing my mobility work so have generally been in a good place. Even just this morning a full work out and stretch and wasn’t even feeling discomfort despite the Dr not knowing if it’s nerve or joint related. .
However, my scheduled review with the physio today which was meant to just be a check in until I get my scans. Despite me stating it’s a good week relatively pain free and doing my exercises, the man decides not to listen to me and manage it with exercise as prescribed by the senior physio and Dr. Instead this guy needs to put his hands inside my collar bone in his words “digging for the nerve”, has my arm in an external rotation that was specifically on my notes as not to do and several other things. As a result I am now in bloody agony, feeling sick with pain and had to have a load of KT tape put on around the joint to stop spasms overnight. Hoping some rest this evening and stretches tomorrow leave me in a place that I can go hit some balls as was my plan for tomorrow night!!
