Random Irritations

We had a test drive booked with Jaecoo this morning. They phoned and said we'd have to reschedule, because the person with the test-drive car hasn't turned up today so they don't have it available. What on earth? The staff are driving round in the cars that they use for test drives?? Don't think we'll bother with them after all if this is how they run a business.

I thought that was common practice and makes sense if the sales reps get company cars. Why have 2 used cars to sell when they reach the end of 'shelf life'.

And then drive back to your house where you’re obviously under the thumb & have a small penis 😬

But at least you felt like “The man” whilst sat in that parking spot 💪😆

How anyone could 'flex' about going shopping is way past my understanding. Surprised they could delay leaving their parking spot, with cleaning and the washing up to do at home :ROFLMAO:

Spectacular service but....
When you order something online, after the Xmas delivery shipping deadline, specifically to arrive after Xmas and you get an email at 7.30am Xmas Eve to tell you it's going to be delivered at 12.15 when you're likely most of the way up the M6 isn't hugely helpful...

The wife had exactly the same yesterday. Ordered something and booked to be delivered Saturday and it’s now arriving today,
Not the biggest deal for us other than she is not feeling well so when I go out and do last minute bits and bobs she will have to be waiting up rather than in bed.

Waking up to no water. I've been to Aldi to get some for us and youngest daughter and family plus some spares for anyone who needs it in the street. People were running in to get some and another supermarket has already has run out.

“Good to see the forum is judging the service without knowing the facts. Was the person who had the car ill? Did they have a family emergency? Never mind all that, just slag them off anyway.”

I wasn’t commenting on this particular incident. I was stating a fact, that being that it is common practice for sales staff at car dealerships to use demonstrators as company cars to get them to and from work.

That said, as someone who spends a considerable amount of time working with car dealerships, I can tell you that, a lot of the time, their treatment of customers falls way short.

Just three examples in recent weeks involve separate dealers booking us to deliver new cars to customers. All three cancelled with us, as an independent logistics firm, at the last minute, because the vehicles hadn’t been prepped. Do you suppose the dealership let their customers know? No, on all three occasions there were customers, excitedly waiting at home for delivery of a new car, having taken the day off work, and not a word of explanation from companies to whom they had paid considerable sums of money.

Fortunately I had let them all know. I’m under absolutely no obligation to, as it’s not me selling them their new cars. But I know how dealerships are.
