The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
My first club had one of these...called the Teapot because...
When you entered you chucked a quid in...an old teapot...

For more than 25 years I have been the only person to be cutting my wife's hair. Long straight hair - not too difficult - about an inch and a half off each time. You do know the average woman has a longer relationship with their hairdresser than with their husband.
Sadly, there are so many who start up doing it for peanuts that the expeirienced and good hairdressers give up and either retire or do something else becuase they aren't making money.
If I ever offered to cut my wife’s hair she’d likely offer to cut my testicals off. Fair play to you for that I respect it and am jealous of how much you will have saved. My wife has hers done every 6-8 weeks at roughly £90-£120 a cut depending on what’s planned in for that one.For more than 25 years I have been the only person to be cutting my wife's hair. And for more than 30 years I've been cutting (OK electric clipping) my own hair.
I wonder how much money (and time) we have saved.
It’s very much the same for my wife.If I ever offered to cut my wife’s hair she’d likely offer to cut my testicals off. But it’s just money isn’t it, it makes her happy and that time with her hairdresser is also social time for her and I think that’s as much of the experience as the haircut is.
That’s what we call it when mates put a few quid into a prize pot that usually pays out to 2 or 3 people.
M&S jeans, chino's etc
I used to walk in, grab my size, walk out.
Now I'm battling through slim fit, skinny fit, rigid fit, stretch fit, regular fit, loose fit![]()
Same with going to a coffee shop and the millions of choices...M&S jeans, chino's etc

Bought a pair yesterday to find, when I got home, they're stretchy fit.And boot fit, hipsters, stone washed & frayed. Jeez! Just give me a pair of trews
Exactly this! It’s the social aspect of having a chat, getting away from the world etc. when you consider what we often spend on green fees or odds and sods for golf it’s all relative and well worth the money for them. It’s very much the same for my wife.
Her and the 3 daughters every six weeks or so have a day where they all go and get the full works. Nails, hair lunch and it’s a full days affair.
We normally end up paying and it costs crazy money but it’s there time together which is priceless, plus listening to them trying to plan the day gives me a right good chuckle.
Also twice a year they go to a spa and the girls pay for mum. They normally have a night away and make the most of it.
With the world seeming to go 100mph constantly now it’s great they all still make time to get together.

Just give me coffee!!
The only coffee shop that confuses me is Starbucks with their sizing of what you have to order.Same with going to a coffee shop and the millions of choices...

But don’t most people just order s,m or L anyway? The only coffee shop that confuses me is Starbucks with their sizing of what you have to order.
Tall - The smallest standard size on the menu, often corresponding to a "small" in other coffee shops.
Grande - Means "large" in Italian, but is the medium size at Starbucks.
Venti - Means "twenty" in Italian, but is the largest size
Whatever happened to just small, medium or large. Glad I always have a Flat white as it comes in one size, I’m easily confused otherwise.
Tried that last week in Starbucks in Camberley as they’ve selfishly closed down Nero ordered the wife a Medium hot chocolate. In no uncertain terms was told they don’t do that size so I had to asked for a Grande and I got a medium hot chocolateBut don’t most people just order s,m or L anyway?

| Demi | 3 | Used for espresso shots only. |
| Short | 8 | Available for hot drinks only. |
| Tall | 12 | The second smallest size, for hot and cold drinks. |
| Grande | 16 | Considered a medium size; available for hot and cold drinks. |
| Venti | 20 (hot) / 24 (cold) | Means "twenty" in Italian; larger for cold drinks due to ice. |
| Trenta | 30 | The largest size, available for select cold drinks only. |
Totally pointless just used sizes we all understand.
