Random Irritations

First cataract done tonight.....not fun at all. I was hoping for some happy juice, but all I got were eye drops.

I had that last November.
Both eyes done in under 10 minutes with eye drops.
Chatted with the surgeon the whole way through and the eye that wasn't 'being done' was able to see what was going on.
The surgeon was aware of my musical tastes from an earlier consultation so, when I went into the operating theatre, he was playing some Humble Pie ........................... nice touch.
No pain either during or after, but the regimen of eye drops for the next few weeks was painfully tedious!
That same evening I was using my phone and laptop without glasses, life changing.

I hope it's as successful for you as it was for me. (y)

I can hope. I'm doing it before things got bad at all...I could have put things off another year probably.

Almost an hour late getting it done since the lady before me had problems, and her cataract was pretty bad I guess....even got a stitch. Mine came out easy, hers not very easy at all.

Just took some paracetamol, slight ache in the eye. Drops start in the morning.....my wife will have to do it since I'm crap at putting drops in my eyes. Went with the EDOF lens with this first eye. Now it's a matter of when I'll be able to play golf again. The other eye won't be done for at least a couple of weeks.
