Random Irritations

Coffee! It stinks, it stinks out the area and should be banned. And if anyone on here stirs tea with the same spoon as the coffee then they should have all their golf clubs shoved into various bodily orifices and then shot!
This is Missis T and it does my trolly in 😖

Is the difference because of the way it hangs from the pole? tab top, ring top and loop top all hang differently… as I recently found out 🫣
No, they were like for like.

It got worse. Second pair of curtains up on another pole really quickly. I decided that the pole needed cleaning. Did it a bit too heavy handed and one end of the pole fixings came out of the wall. HID was not inpressed. It's taken a lot of work to get it back into the wall and to stay in. Oops.

Have you had collagen injections for it? It can improve it/slow it down…
No. It’s been getting progressively worse over the last couple of years, but my little finger and ring finger are now at the stage where they will not straighten. I only saw the doc to get a referral a week ago. I mentioned it to the doc about 18 months ago but she said it was too early to do anything with it.

NHS? They couldn't give a rat's about how it might be affecting your golf.

My wife's DPC started last November and seemed to be developing quite rapidly.
But as it was still in its early stages she went private and paid for radiotherapy, which seems to have halted the progression.
It did cost £3k, but if that means she can carry on playing golf, it's a bargain.
(If yours has reached the need for surgery, unfortunately radiotherapy isn't an option).

The sad realisation that I'm not as young as I like to think I am.
After a more intense exercise session on Friday, I was feeling it on Saturday but so thought I'd be ok for the medal. The last 5 holes where a disaster as I was totally weary and couldn't string two decent shots together.

The injections break it down, but not fully. There’s also exercises, which I’ve found both painful but made quite a difference. If you can tolerate the exercises, push through the pain, it’s worth a go.

For me it’s the ring finger, into the palm, on my left hand.

The amount of parents on the school run just OK with walking the kids to school in pouring rain with no coat. Going to be sat in wet clothes all day.

Back into work on Monday after 4 days away (standard as I am on a 3 day week till I retire) and almost 100 unread emails in my inbox, and as I remove some, more come in. Still, only 100 days to go according to the countdown timer on my phone.

I’ll give the exercises a try. Thanks. Mine is my right hand little finger and ring finger. Not affecting my golf but I get a bit of pain in it when the weather is cold. Annoying.

100 emails, 100 days …..if I can do the maths correctly, one per day………..relax, it will soon be over

Bleedin’ nightmare and severe pain in the derrière getting curtain fixings into the walls at my MiLs house. Just an hour ago took curtains and curtain rail down in a bedroom prior to painting they walls - I left the timber rail mounting board in place…but just know there will be tears (real or otherwise) when it comes to putting the curtain rail back up.

Second-to-last night of holiday, wife suddenly has uncontrollable shivers at bed time - bit odd when the room is 24°. From then she gets worsening abdominal pain until she's crying on the plane home, even after four paracetamol. Daughter picked up by my parents in the middle of the night and straight to A&E for us at 2:30am. Loads of tests done, passed from pillar to post. Left on a bed in a corridor for nearly 3 hours. We thought it was going to be appendicitis or kidney stones but the scans show the inflammation in a different place so it turns out it's just extremely bad gastroenteritis or colitis. Apparently quite common for people to get it on Turkish holidays. Might've been the food, might have been picked up some other way. I'm still at the hospital with her (over 12 hours now), so I've not slept in 32 hours - she's on a drip of antibiotics and napping now thankfully. They want to keep her in overnight to do tests tomorrow and see if there is any improvement.

I was already not a fan of holidays and this isn't going to help her case when she tries to convince me again next year. 😬
