Random Irritations

Nespresso machines. I can't fully work them out, can never seem to get more than 1/2 a cup full of coffee 🙄. I don't get them 🤷
lol… it’s honestly the best gadget I’ve bought in the last two years! And tbh it’s so simple, bung in a pod, push the big cup button, it flashes for a few seconds then goes solid. Push it again and it chugs out a measure, when it stops push it again and that’s it. A delicious coffee with an excellent crème.
Smalller chugs for different pods. I’ve even got decaf for that late night chug. 😁

You don't own a bean to cup machine?
Surely a company expense that also needs some testing ;)
We provide free tea and coffee at work. One of the workers, tight as chuff, asked if we could have a pod machine. I said I had no problem if they wanted to bring one in and supply the pods. Funnily enough, it never happened 🤭.

I’m always surprised when people say they’re amazing. I think they’re absolutely awful, I owned one and hated it rarely got a good coffee or even a hot coffee out of it. My mum has one and it’s atrocious as does my brother they love them but everytime they make me a coffee it’s crap 🤣

Maybe I’m just fussy and miserable (highly likely). Much prefer a proper bean to cup machine got my eye on the new Ninja one Costco have just stocked.

Yep. I had one briefly in between espresso machines, thinking the convenience would be useful but got rid after a few months. I don't think it tastes any better than instant.
And any addict knows that it's as much about the ritual as the hit.

I think that’s what it is for me as well. If I want a really average quick coffee I could make an instant, or even an Azeera tastes better than most of the pods. I don’t want flavours either I just want a good quality cup of coffee.

Play like say there’s something therapeutic and ritualistic about taking those few moments to go through the routine of making a good one and enjoying it.

Coffee! It stinks, it stinks out the area and should be banned. And if anyone on here stirs tea with the same spoon as the coffee then they should have all their golf clubs shoved into various bodily orifices and then shot!

There used to be a coffee shop at the top of Guildford High Street.
My word it stunk the whole area out, it was just horrific .................... and I like drinking coffee.

I’d take Starbucks (mild but unobjectionable) over Coasta (dishwasher) any day. Fortunately I don’t have to take either as I’m really lucky - my little town has a really good independent. It’s always absolutely rammed while Costa is quiet, despite Costa being slightly cheaper; which tells you people can tell the difference.

Until recently, (until the factory closed) if you went to Banbury, you couldnt help but "smell the coffee"
I like the smell, but hate the taste....am I weird?
No you’re not weird my wife loves the smell, and makes and amazing coffee from grinding beans to making it all way through yet she can’t stand the taste either.
