Random Irritations

People who can't drive on the correct side of the road. Seems to happen a lot round my way.
1. They're turning right off the main road on a t-junction and they cut right across the wrong side of the road that they're entering - so I have to slam my brakes on if I'm driving up.
2. Just a normal, gently meandering road, they veer across the centre line like an F1 driver trying to use the 'racing line'.
3. Driving around parked cars but have no idea how wide their car is, so leaving nearly 2 metres of clearance and fully driving on the wrong side so people have to wait when they don't need to.
It's not that hard guys. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Had a goody the other day.We have a roundabout with exits at 8, 10, 2 and 4 o'clock on the clock face and you're entering at 6 o'clock..
2 lanes all the way around .
Guy in the left lane, no signal, goes all the way round and exits at 4 o'clock
He's then surprised when I'm right up his jacksy, blasting my horn and calling him every expletive name u der the sun.
Certainly around here the standard of driving is falling through the floor
Nobody seems to care or have any respect for other drivers anymore..
If I was still teaching I'd have even less hair than I have now....and that ain't much...

Yeah roundabouts is another one. So many times I see someone joining the roundabout on my right.. starts turning left, puts left indicator on. In that order. Cheers for that you clown, I could have gone about 10 seconds earlier then.

Am I reading this correct....someone moaning about others driving yet has said they wont pull into the inside empty lane because they intend to overtake the vehicle 300 yards in front and are afraid they wont be able to pull out to overtake said vehicle?
;)

Hmm . Depends on your approach speed to the vehicle you are going to overtake.
If you’re seconds away, then moving lanes is unnecessary and possibly dangerous.
This advice/requirement to go to inside lane if vacant is negotiable depending on circumstances, furthermore in some Countries I believe staying in your lane, until needing to move from it, is what is expected.?
A view I happen to think is the safer way.

I can't quite call this an irritation but....on the way home from the course. In the round a bought is a large flat bed heavy lifting critter trying to go....well....around. It took a while. There were 32 wheels on the back end of this thing and the wheels had the ability to turn to help with.....well.....turning. Fairly impressed.

Yes like that in the USA it’s miles better but they have eight lanes on some roads.

I'm leaving at the next exit

You don't think the BMW should be in the exit lane (far left)?

I really don’t know, he’s indicating left but I have no idea what his intentions are, just changing lane or leaving at the next exit. We also don’t know how he got into that position, poor driving or was he blocked off by someone else? Stills don’t really say a lot and like I said, I really wouldn’t be dwelling on it at all.

Went down to York on the train yesterday. Heading home, got a cab back to the station. Traffic was a nightmare, and we got to the station a few minutes before the train was due to leave. Clocked which platform the train was on, and legged it. The train was still there when I got there, what a relief. Pressed the button, nothing, door was locked.

Looked up the platform to see the guard, caught his eye and asked him to let me in. Instead he barks at me "move away from the train, the doors are locked". I told him i had a ticket for that train, and would he please let me on. he just shouted the same thing back to me. I step back and the train then pulls out.

Had to stump up for another ticket, and hang about for the next train. I know folk will say i should have allowed more time - I agree - and the guard was only doing his job - again I agree - but his abrupt manner and the whole scenario left me very irritated.

Prices at the supermarket.
£1.50 for a can of Diet Coke at local Sainsbury’s 🤯
I'm a serious diet soda drinker. For the last year or two you could pick up 3 cases of Diet Coke, Pepsi Max etc 3 cases for £24. They've dropped that now and they are basically £11.50 a case or almost £35 for 3 cases. I've stopped buying those completely. I can still get sugar free 7up for £3 a case less.....diet Dr Pepper for £2 a case less. I drink enough diet sodas to practically fund the whole Coke company..... why didn't they just raise the price by a "little bit"....I'd have kept buying them?
