Random Irritations

Recycling and food waste bin day today..
Both out at 8pm yesterday
Recycling gets collected no problem.
The food bin is still sat outside..
The irritation?
To report a missed bin it is necessary to wait until after 6pm.....
So, at 6.17 precisely, I tried to report a missed bin......only to be told that I have to wait untill after 6pm to report it.....
One wonders if the Council offices, a smidge over a mile away, are actually in a different time zone...
Is the Revolution coming coz I've got a wall I can put mindless jerks up against......

Yep, had this a few times - you know by 4pm they aren't coming but can't report as too early. Try later and 'they've reported it themselves' so you can't log it. 'Will be collected next day'. Following day nothing happens try to report and can't because too long after original collection day

You can get a week doofer to add others I think.

Agreed, traffic is a nightmare at the moment. The shops in Kings Rd look lovely though with their floral displays.

I'm looking to downsize from the 840. Liked the look of the M235 so got one for the weekend. I'm only half a day in and I'm already a bit meh about it. Maybe I'm unfairly comparing it to the 8.

Really wanted the M240 coupe but the interior space is a joke. My lad is 6ft and we'd need to origami him in to the back seats.

Gran Coupe version (235) is a bit better but he's used to the cavernous back of the 8 series.

No real cost saving over just keeping the 8. Already have a 3 series that's used as a track car as well.

Tested on and didn't like it. Not sure why exactly, just didn't take to it. My mate was raving about his and the test left me feeling a bit "is that it? Is that what you've been excited about?"

Hyundai i30N?
The lad had an i20N, which he said was immense fun. I think Hyundai had poached someone well up from BMW to create the N versions...

Nah, mate’s wife has one. Interior is naff. Looks ok outside, she drives it like Miss Daisy though.

It's problem is maybe that it's too planted for anyone who likes a twitch on the bends, which can make it seem boring. I just love the fact that it is so sticky.
Try it with the traction switched off - makes it slightly livelier.

Our other car's a 5-Series x-Drive. Turn the traction off in that and you'll be off at the first roundabout.

That’s the thing, if I want a bit of twisty road excitement I just take out the track 340 (still road legal), but I’d need my own personal refinery to run it as a daily.

I am going to try and rate the 235 without comparing it to the 8. It’s a nice looking car just missing something I can’t put my finger on.
