Random Irritations

That’s the thing, if I want a bit of twisty road excitement I just take out the track 340 (still road legal), but I’d need my own personal refinery to run it as a daily.

I am going to try and rate the 235 without comparing it to the 8. It’s a nice looking car just missing something I can’t put my finger on.
An AMG Merc?

It's smaller than your 840;)
Marginal. Already got 540 horses in the 3er which is a total sleeper.

Main reason for downsizing is I hardly do any miles now with working 90% from home. Big comfy mile muncher isn't needed. Longest trip is to the golf club 30 mins away. Really do want to like the 235, just noticed the ZF box has been replaced with a 7 speed DCT. That accounts for the weird gear behaviour then 😔

The hot hatch segment has been ruined for me by 4WD, auto gearboxes and turbos. I'd love a fun FWD, naturally aspirated, manual gearbox hatch for tooling around locally. They need to bring back the Clio Williams.

Never really been a hatchback fan since the late 90s. Had a Mercedes A250 when the A class was relaunched in 2014 but it was no more than decent. Prefer some boot space and a lid.

My mate was talking about us doing another 2.5 V6 Corsa later this year but not really capturing my enthusiasm like it used to.

Try a Fiesta ST with quaife differential and 200ps. Absolutely great to drive.

So you’ve got a road legal track car for if you want to have fun on the roads.
You don’t do many miles.
Just buy a daily driver to ferry the family around in.

Am hanging outta me backside. Am absolutely knackered. Me arms are paralysed.

When I finished work in 2015. I had projects. They were not jobs. One of the projects was building a log store at the side of the house. All the timber was from the pit when it was shutting. It cost me about 10 pence to build it. Anyway after 10 years it has fallen down. So at 7.50 this morning i made a start. £75 later. Am knackered. I finished at 7.15 pm. Me body has gone into shutdown, and a project 10 years ago is today a bloody ball ache of a job. Chucking the logs back in and I Then realised I have done part of it wrong so I have another 2 hours work left.🤬
I want me mum.
