Random Irritations

Not a surprise they are looking to find a way to blame the refs

Think they sold their training ground for £500mil

There was supposed to be some sort of investigation which of course went quiet
Wasn’t even a “training ground” was partly a derelict car park that had been valued at about €1.5m and the Madrid government somehow paid out nearly €600m that just so happened to equate to the debt at the time.

applying for a different job, one i have been doing for months as cover. even being singled out by the head of the unit for how well ive been doing and not even getting an interview. sifted out as it would have been unfair to take into account my experience and training ive been doing:rolleyes:
Isn’t that exactly the sort of thing you would take into account?

JD Vance. Demanded that the Colosseum be closed so that he could have a private visit - thereby shafting thousands of ticket holders - then didn’t even bother to turn up. Classy.

DPD combined with clubhouse golf

Now in DPD defence I think it's clubhouse golf

I missed a parcel Friday. They ignored my instructions to leave safe. This happened last time I ordered from clubhouse so I assume that clubhouse won't let them leave it safe (some don't)

Anyways the parcels coming again tomorrow.. that's fine

However what makes it stupid is my food parcel thing gets delivered by DPD on Sundays.. and will arrive today from the same DPD depot.. why not just put the clubhouse parcel in with it? Save your driver a trip?

Jimmy V ain't no Christian of a sort I might recognize but hopefully if and when he does visit there will be some lions about. and he ain't no Daniel.
Might be an Androcles though, just saying😀

BTW, H….Been to Rome. Saw the Colosseum, etc. Absolutely the best holiday I’ve had, wonderful place.
If you haven’t planned to see The Pantheon, you must. More awesome than the killing field.
Original bronze doors, just think, what hands have pushed them open?
And the Basilica, of course.

My wife's new laptop for work is playing up. The cursor has disappeared, the touchpad has stopped working, the touchpad settings don't appear, it won't connect to the internet.

It's been passed to me to resolve, I'm currently failing 😞. Yes, I've turned it off and on

We are getting close to factory reset territory, the last step before it gets returned.

If it’s a work laptop, just return it.

If it’s a company machine then (if set up properly) it will be locked out of most settings so I doubt you would be able to do any sort of reset.

Most likely touchpad hardware fault making the system think no touch device is connected, W10 and W11 don’t show settings for devices not detected.

It's a fairly basic Acer, bought from Currys last weekend. It's a company laptop only in the sense that she's using it for work. We are 'the company ', it hasn't gone to a dept to be set up. I am the IT dept 😂
