My normal go to electrical wholesaler doesn't even do them now. I think they are a thing of the past now, and I can't remember being in a house with them fitted for years.

They are useful if someone has botched installing the backbox and the switch doesn't quite cover the edges. Which is what we have in our new(-ish) house. I appreciate that production volumes will be low, but honestly, this is just taking the proverbial.

Anyway, it's no big deal, just a random irritation. Not in the same league as the death penalty 😉

Make sure you pay extra for tracking. I had an issue where they claimed never to have had a return. I've never used them again. I really don't like the company, or its owner.

I never ordered from them online again after I was charged £5 for delivery to store, even though I then had to go and collect my order.

Their online business is a rip off. I’ll occasionally buy in store, but only if I’m after something cheap for a specific purpose.

Even RS don't do them. I suppose the only peace of mind way to look at it, is how much would it cost in materials and time to do it properly? If you look at it that way, the piece of plastic option is a cheap way forward.:)
 
I have one of those pathetic colds, where you don't even feel ill, you just have to blow your nose constantly, like every 5 minutes. So annoying.
 
Automated scam calls at work. Yesterday it was banking, today it is 'your internet is being used for fraudulent activity'. We know it's a scam but they are still irritating and you also know that somewhere out there, someone is pressing 1 and getting scammed. Horrible people.

I've been getting it occasionally at golf just recently, never suffered from it before though

I never thought of that since I figured hayfever normally comes in the spring if anything? But maybe I'll take a Claritin and see if it helps.
 
Bought a simple front nearside sidelight today.

Had to take off the front engine cover/trim under the bonnet and the battery to fit it.
Would probably take 10 minutes if I did it next time, took half an hour for a 2 quid small bulb. Madness.

Fiat hold the crown for dog turd mechanical design. Recently did a lower suspension arm for my mate’s daughter on her 500. Had to remove the bumper and partially dismantle the front crash bar and front crash brace assembly to get in to one bolt so the arm could be removed.

Just insanity. Garages rubbing their greasy hands at the thought of charging 2-3 hours work for what should be simple jobs. Mate’s daughter was quoted £400 for fitting a £52 part. She can’t afford that, hence asking me to do it.
